Only thing I can think of is that they think Dallas is no threat to drive downfield and they can just play it safe today and don’t want to risk handing them the ball at midfield.

But come on, 4th and 2 in opposing territory is a go for it in today’s NFL.

Yeah, you would think thinking they can't drive it is why you feel comfortable taking the risk.  If you fail you have confidence your defense stopping them.  Then again, midfield is already field goal range for Aubry.

That’s true, and probably part of their thinking. To keep Dallas out of FG range, you need to keep them on their side of the field.
