From a baseball standpoint Joey has 'earned' the demotion to a platoon guy this year and to a question mark for his future.

From a human standpoint he has watched the Brewers give away his job in the future to a kid who hadn't even debuted yet, paid that kid a lot more money than he has ever been offered, then had them call up the kid later/now to take his job permanently. That's a lot for any player to process mentally over the course of a few months.

From both a baseball and human standpoint that was an awesome moment for him. That was a primal roar he let out around the bases.

Joey telling the ball to get out was one of my favorite moments of the year. This team never gives up and I love watching the Crew every game. Baseball is a long grind.

I have coached kids who have gone through the same type of emotions when their hard work has paid off.
