The HR hit by the Angels was hammered. Based on our offense & lackadaisical approach thus far, we deserve to lose the game. Miz deserves a better effort offensively from his team. This is not a World Series caliber club no matter what trades we make before tomorrow’s deadline.

It would be a lot easier to get one of those if we had the offense we had the first three months of the season when the bottom four of the lineup was the black hole in the offense and not the top four.

This team looks like it's disappointied the front office let the team to beat add the best guy out there. I wouldn't be surprised.

I guess I just don’t know who the big bat is that people want. Someone like Otto Lopez would be amazing but the cost would be astronomical and he’s probably not realistically available. 

Any rental available is probably going to be a marginal upgrade that isn’t going to make any difference in being a division winner and top 2 seed or not and so you’re just pretty much paying for a few dozen ABs in October and hoping that they happen to be hotter during that time than whoever else would be the option.

I agree, World Series teams don’t struggle to get base hits off of Walbert Ureña. Despite the record, the lack of quality at bats with runners on base will eventually doom this team.

I’d like to see how far this team can go with our current offense & starting pitchers. We may have enough relievers too if we can get guys healthy. It would be great to add a quality (non-rental) starter if we can do so without losing one of the top prospects. Then we can move a starter or two to the bullpen for the playoffs. It is going to be difficult to beat the Dodgers in 2026.
