Joey passes up Yelich in OPS.  Might have Contreras passed by the end of the series.  The way both are going, Mitchell might stare at enough pitches that Ortiz eventually catches him as well.

If they don’t want to pay him $12m, they’ll pick up the option and trade him. Catching is a very scarce commodity, and many teams would be thrilled to pay Contreras $12m, and give up a prospect for the opportunity to do so.

Well let's agree that the chance of him being a Brewer next year is falling apart

Put me down for as of those downers who wants Yeli to sit for a while.

One of the most incredible things ever.

The worst case scenario when Yelich signed his contract is here.  Also, the best case scenario for Ortiz moving over after bringing up Pratt.

Need to win at least one more this weekend.

With Miz and Henderson we should/have to win.....or we can kiss the Central goodbye. The Cubs are not going away. Our bats need to wake up. Thank goodness we did not trade for a bat at the trade deadline.....sorry I am just still pissed about that.

The problem with this team is you can’t sit everybody.     Someone has to play.    And we are scared of any of the power bats in the minors so at this point you just sit on your hands and lose 3-1 or win 2-1.   That’s about it.

Today was always the least favorable pitching matchup. Got Miz and Henderson going next two days

That's what it feels like right now.

It will be interesting to see if the pitching will breakdown some, basically having to carry the team for so long now

its got to be incredibly stressful to know one home run can end the game right there.

Can't ask for much more out of Gasser.

We might need to sacrifice a live chicken

The Brewers can literally lose the next 3 days and still be first in the central

Relax

I believe the proper method is rubbing the chicken bones on the bats.

Not looking good today, but no matter what happens a split is looking very doable this series which I think we all would have considered a success coming into L.A,

At this point the standings are what they are and I’m not going to concern myself too much with it whether we lead by 2 or 3 or 4 or even fall behind. We will have plenty of chances one on one yet against the Cubs to pull ahead and they’ll have the same chance against us. We will see what happens but we need to get healthy between now and then.

Or maybe frying it up and having some before every game

That ball was smoked.

With Uribe on the shelf, there’s just no one besides Megill that you feel great about in the pen.

A 2-5 road trip would be pretty bad overall though.    But it’s crazy to think that’s what we are hoping for
