So, tell me more about how the Cubs are going to pass up the Brewers by the end of August ....

Ok, by now we all understand that there were some bad hot-takes not too long ago in the IGT threads, but can we just get past that now.  Someone bringing that up every game thread is nothing but a giant buzzkill.

It's time to let it go and enjoy what has transpired...

Division Champs again!

We've now poured champagne all over every clubhouse in the NL Central.

Please tell that to 2002 me.

Add 1983-2007 me as well.  The first MLB game I attended was September 25, 1983*.  I was spellbound just to be in the place where so much postseason excitement had happened the year before.

From that day until the end of the 2008 season I spent part of each game I attended thinking about what it would be like to see postseason excitement in person.  For many of those games, it was just a split second, but the wondering was always there.

These are the good days.  We are in the good days.  I don't want to ever get jaded about this.

*We did see the Orioles celebrate their AL East title that day, so I guess that could count as postseason excitement. Not really, though. 😂

Remember: the Brewers never panic like you do.

You mean to tell me that constant negativity and pessimism can be a buzzkill? Turbo, welcome to the dark (up) side!

I saw a video yesterday of Big Cat Barstool complaining about the Brewers.  He said that Murphy has to stop playing the "underdog" or "disrespect" card.  I can't find the video, but it was titled something like, "The Cubs have a Milwaukee Problem."

The above list along with popular podcasts such as Jomboy (Talkin' Baseball), etc. do not pick to the Brewers to win the Division... almost ever.  With the Cubs in the division, why would they?  😉
