On the bright side, I get to go to a World Series game.

I would love to go, but maybe because I didn't grow up with much money, I absolutely cannot spend $2000+ on a baseball ticket.

I live in Florida and got two tickets to game 4 for under $900 total.  Bought them the nite the Brewers won the NLCS.  Not super great tickets but tickets none the less.

Should be fun!

How many reconstructive surgeries has he had since he pitched for the Brewers?

None. He had two TJs before going to Tampa Bay and had an internal brace procedure on his elbow. That’s a ligament repair not reconstruction like TJ where a ligament is harvested and transplanted to the elbow. But yeah, he missed about a calendar year from ‘23 to ‘24 recovering from that elbow injury.

Where in FL are you?  I will be back in Punta Gorda on Monday.  We are snowbirds and have a home in Green Bay.  We are heading back south Saturday morning.

My younger sister lived in St. Pete before she passed away 3 years ago. I got to go to a couple of Rays games when I visited, because she had a friend who worked in the ticketing office. First time there, he got us tickets to their seating area on field where you have all you can eat food, drinks and snacks. Super cool. We went with my girls and my nephew and ended up getting Brett Phillips' autograph on a ball for each of the 3 of them. When my sister was in hospice, one of her friends took my nephew to a Rays game and the team hooked him up with all kinds of swag. So, yeah, I have a special place in my heart for the Rays. But come Friday, that goes away. We are on the cusp of getting our first ever World Series championship. I know they are too.....but they can wait.

It's a 98-win team, nobody is an underdog. You could put the Rockies in this and we might lose. Baseball can be a goofy, random sport. This is the best chance we've had in my lifetime and I hope we can take advantage, but we could fall asleep at the wrong time and go 0-4 and it wouldn't change anything I think about this season.

Fans will cheer for Peralta, but they should boo him over and over…and heckle him to make him feel like he is back in NYC. I want to see the camera pan to him in shambles after giving up 5+ in 2 innings.

Sorry, but I ain’t cheering for anyone on the other team when we need four wins to hoist the trophy. I hope it’s the worst two weeks of his career. After that, best of luck to him.

I hope we hit him hard, but booing the crap out of a guy who gave us the best of his career for almost a decade and still reveres this place is not the way to win our first championship.

We can beat the Rays without turning into Philadelphia sports fans.

Hoping that Freddy turns back into a playoff pumpkin starting this weekend.

He gave up 15 runs in 25.1 playoff innings the last three seasons for the Brewers. 5.23 ERA. 1-3 record. Would have been nice to get 16 innings of 0.75 ERA like he did for TB in the ALCS. Take all of his playoff innings back to 2018 and he has a 4.09 ERA for MKE (4.63 as a starter). Never pitched like a number 1 starter for the Brewers in the playoffs when they needed him to. Instead he gave up first-inning homers in two games against the Cubs. Game one they bailed him out with six in the first, but the 3-run hr in game 4 was awful. 4 runs in 5.2 against AZ in 23. Was given a 2-0 lead in game one against the Mets, gave back three the next inning, including the unforgiveable 2-run triple to Winker.

Make him throw strikes.

Nah lol it's the World Series, if booing gets into his head we should absolutely be doing it.

Freddy did great in the ALCS but I think we need to remember that Cleveland's offense was not a good offense. They were successful due to run prevention and they still took two games from the Rays.

Anything can happen, just need to keep doing Brewers things like they have been doing them.

Saw somewhere that Tampa doesn't hit lefties very well. If so, expect a healthy dose of Hall, Jojo, Ashby

I love Freddy. He brought a lot of joy to my life (and some frustration) for many years. I always wish him well. Unless we play him.  Then, I hope we beat him thoroughly and send him to the dugout. .

You can join me in cheering him as he is lifted for a reliever after 3.1 innings, 5 runs and 80 pitches.

The Brewers certainly had a tougher path with the alleged hottest team in baseball and the Dodgers. Tampa got a Judge-less Yankees and the Guardians who aren't a qualifier most years.

Logic says the Brewers should win this. They are the best team, have been all year, and they beat the best teams. But logic doesn't always win.

It's going to come down to which team's stars perform like stars.  Mis needs to get more depth in his starts - the Brewers were able to overcome short stints from him because their pen has been nails, but nothing would improve their title hopes like knowing they're getting 6-7 innings of a dominant Mis across games 1 and 5, then knowing you only need to figure out how to win 2 more games the rest of the series (with 3 of those 5 other potential games being at home)
