Another report from Nashville...

 

I went to the game last night and both teams wore the jerseys from 1982. I was walking through park and noticed it was a silent auction for the jerseys from both teams for the game worn jerseys. Minimum bids started at $75 and to make a long story short I got Parra and Sarfate for $155...is it just me or is this a steal? I talked to Sarfate after I won them and he said that he would sign at a future game and get Parra to sign if he's still there...

 

Rottino, Nelson, and Dillon all went for over $100 top one I think was $155 or so for Dillon. There was one female fan wearing an authentic Barnwell jersey that was blocking her area to get Barnwell and I squeezed in and got Sarfate a few minutes before it ended.

 

Any thoughts? The jerseys also have a sounds logo on the left sleeve. Ankiel's went over $130 and I was eyeing that one up to frame with a Brewers one...

I think it's very funny Dillon's went for the most.

Was it $155 each for Parra and Safarte? If it was total, that is an absolute steal if you can get them signed.

Ahhh my fault Barnwell fan. I didn't see how much that one went for. Were there a lot of bids on it? I recently moved from WI and is Barnwell a fan favorite in Nashville?

Also, it was $155 total for the two I was able to get.

Oh, I did end up taking home the Barnwell...still can't believe I paid that much. Even though he didn't do well with the Brewers, he's been a solid player here so most people really like him. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif There was only one other bid on his jersey. Someone started the bidding at $175. I couldn't believe it, but once I've made up my mind a jersey is going home with me, it usually does. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/embarassed.gif

Started @ $175? Wow...How often do they do a promotion like this? I just moved here and thought the jerseys were pretty cheap for game jerseys.

They usually do this 3 or 4 times a season. Saturday night was the last one for this summer. Also, they do auction the regular jerseys at the end of the season.
