It's pretty easy to organize a non-life and an often work-at-home job around 12:00, 6:00, 7:00, 8:00, or 9:00 starts http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif

As much as I'd like to see Corey in the lineup tonight, I just don't know about him in CF at Coors, that place is just..... large.

Well if Clark cant go tonight (which I'm assuming he can't) its going to be either Corey or Mags in CF, and any day Magruder isn't in the starting lineup is a good day.

Do you really want Magruder wasting a place in the lineup at a place like Coors?

Well, of course not, but I'm just saying it could get a little hairy out there with Hart in CF.

Personally, I'd play Corey, but I could see why someone would put Magruder out there.

I just don't see Magruder as a great CF. I would like to think that Corey would produce more runs than he would give up defensively.

I also hope that Hart isn't platooning with Mags. He better be in the lineup tonight. Ned is in love with hitting Magruder versus RHP, eventhough he hits about .200 against righties. Corey couldn't be much worse than that.

Every week we seem to be switching opponants with the Cubs. Like we'll go on the same road trips, have the same home dates, and we'll play a team during the week then they'll play them on the weekends, and we'll swap.

Does anybody know if this has always been the case with MLB scheduling? Do teams have kind of a partner like that?

My lineup

Weeks

Hardy

Jenkins

Lee

Overbay

Hart

Miller

Branyan

Sheets

2TO-88

I don't get it. Everybody seems to be saying Miller is going to catch. Is Moeller hurt? Since when does Moeller not catch Sheets?

Ever since Yost realized he sucks.

I'm curious to know why everyone (not everyone of course, just a fair number of people, Yost included on occasion) slots Hardy in the 2 hole. He'd be camping in 7 or second cleanup on my lineup card.

Miller caught Sheets last time because Moeller played the day before. Suprisingly Sheets did just fine NOT having Moeller call his stupid high fastball on 40% of the pitches. Seriously Moeller, just because you can't lay off the high fastball doesn't mean the rest of the league will chase over and OVER again.

HAHA rluz - I laughed for about 5 minutes after reading this, luckily I had just swallowed my drink or that would have been over the computer screen. It is unbelievable how true that is too, EVERY x-2 he'll call a high fastball.

Hardy is NO #2 hitter. He hasn't shown me anything to believe that he'll ever be any more than a .250 hitter. He needs to add muscle if he will ever project to the 10-15 HR's they have him slated to achieve in the next few years.

I also got a pretty good grin out of it too.

Miller had caught Benny now twice I think, and I think he might tonight as well. Ned does not like to give Damian back to back days off. Moeller caught yesterday because Miller does not catch day games after night games.

Hope to see another great pitching performance out of Sheets tonight, he seems like the dominate Ben of last year. Heres to a big night for Corey Hart as well. Go Crew!

anyone else wish Hart's first hit wasn't a homerun? He might swing a bit too hard today. My inner Debbie Downer tells me that tonight he goes 0-4, 3 k's, and a ground ball to third base, hope I'm wrong though.

You're right, a 22-year-old rookie who only had a handful of at bats above AA coming into the season has no chance to improve.

Hardy is hitting .257 since the all-star break of his ROOKIE year, he's going to improve, oh and his lack of "muscles" get used to more players looking this way in the next few years now that they are cracking down on steroids (would you like to see a picture of Robin Yount inserted here?)

The difference between a .206 hitter and a .275 hitter over the course of a season is about ONE extra hit every 4 games. Hardy hasn't shown me anything to believe he CAN'T get an extra hit every 4 games.

Just goes to show you how BA is only a small part of a player's offensive production.
