Odd thing is, I think Jenks' throw in was right on the money to Hardy had Weeks not tipped it and he gets an error.

 

Clark's throw was pretty bad, and he comes off scot-free.

 

I would have scored the first error as E4. hard to say the throw was offline before it was tipped by Weeks. In any case, Weeks was the cut off man and apparently didn't realize that Jenkins was bypassing him.

Not too bad imo since they have worked Duke for 34 pitches while going down 1-6. They'll get to him second time around since they have taken a good look. I like the approach!

I have to credit the Pirates, what better place to bring up a pitcher for a debut than Milwaukee? About the same size crowd as a AAA game, friendly fans who don't heckle much, no national media attention...brilliant

 

That being said, I think he will start to get shelled this next time through the lineup

agree.they are gawd awful... my favorite part so far about them was the need to point out that each member of the brewers were facing duke for the first time. I think that was established when they said it was his ML debut, didn't really need to be repeated throughout the order
