Brewersfan.net newbie ? at least posting.

I realize this is starting off a little off topic, but?.

My hat?s off to those that maintain this site. I?ve been puttering around and must say that I?m impressed.

Not sure what happened to last night?s ?game thread? (appearing after the game was finished http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif ), but I certainly enjoy perusing the comments made here ? definitely like the informative style taken here.

Thread related: Let?s have Sheet?s make a strong outing (and not overextend himself) and go into the next series with a 6-game streak in our pockets. Only wish I could be there.

Our local in La Crosse doesn't have the game on, not sure why, probably incompetence. Anyway, was there any word why Ginter's not playing today?

Nice way to start of the inning Scotty!!! Lead off hit. Moved to second on a sac bunt. Stole third. Scored on a ground out to first.
Posted
Then Scotty battles to 3-2 and takes a few extra pitches before he gets a double with 2 outs. Jenkins hits a 2 run homer with the next at bat. Scotty is putting on a show today.

If anyone is watching the game, how is Ben doing? I am surprised they had him go out for the 6th with already throwing about 90 pitches and not exactly having great sucess today.

Is Pods resurgence in any way related to the current winning streak???

It never ceases to amaze me what a good leadoff hitter can do to a lineup. The last time the Brewers had a competitive team it was Listach.

Hopefully we can count on Pods for a few more years. Trying to obtain a leadoff hitter is something many teams are after every year. Let's hope he continues his success for the next 2 years or so while our youngsters develop then we can trade him to a contender for more pitching!!!

A few more years? How about 8 or so, given the fact that Krynzel has shown zero plate discipline in the second half (could that be contributing to the Huntsville offense's offensive performance?) and seems to have not gotten a hit since mid June.

8th inning and the bullpen is showing its colors again - well I mean De los Santos.http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/mad.gif

Let's hope Estrella can turn yesterday's performance around and save DLS rear.

I was only able to hear the 3rd inning and then got back into the game in the 7th. How did Sheets do this afternoon - other than the three I heard him give up in the third?

Ugggggh. Can someone please explain why Keishnick hadn't been used earlier in the game - like the beginning of the 8th inning.

There aren't enough 'bleeping' censor sounds to cover my frustration right now.

Podsednik scores 9 runs over the weekend, including several SB's and a couple of home runs.

I think our search for the center fielder of the future is over.

My fever just rose a degree.
"Dustin Pedroia doesn't have the strength or bat speed to hit major-league pitching consistently, and he has no power......He probably has a future as a backup infielder if he can stop rolling over to third base and shortstop." Keith Law, 2006

All hail Richie Sexson and Scotty Po! We are not worthy!!!

What a great finish - again. YYYYEEEEEEESSSSSS

Look out Cincinnati

And the last time the Brewers had a winning season was Paul Molitor's last year on the team. By then Listach was hitting leadoff and Molly was hitting third.

That’s the only thing Chicago’s good for: to tell people where Wisconsin is.

Yeah are search for a centerfielder is over......until we got two center fielders Kryzel and Pod, then we have a problem unless we could send pod to right field.

Nice to see Sexson drive in winning run. And the most disturbing part of the games is Ben Sheets giving up 5 er, hopefully he didnt have his A stuff today. And Leo. A, what can i see i thought Redman would do something against him(Redman hits HR and Double againt Leo in previous 2 ab's)

I can't believe how good it feels to win 6 games in a row--even in the context of it being a last place team.

There is such a difference between the feelings of excitement and resignation.

Hopefully a sign of things to come. . .

Nice to see extra caution being used for Sheets.

I actually really liked Ned getting Leo right back out there again today. However, after the HR, I didn't like Leo left out there to rot after the HR. Luckily, he got out of the inning without further damage, but it was like Ned never fathomed Leo might not get 'em 1-2-3.

Any reports on how many stayed for the movie?
