Capuano was our best starter for the early parts of the second half, but yeah Davis is probably pitching the best lately. Santos pitched a nice game last time out after struggling quite a bit, so maybe he would get the nod. Who knows? They're all having their issues right now.

This doesn't include tonight's start (or last night's start, I don't believe) and is care of ESPN.com.

Post-All Star Break

 Starter GS ERA -------------------------- Wes Obermueller 3 3.46 Victor Santos 8 4.17 Doug Davis 8 4.20 Ben Sheets 7 4.53 Chris Capuano 6 5.40 --------------------------

Not good.

I would NEVER.......EVER condone hitting a batter for pounding the ball against my team, but I gotta tell ya, I've about seen enough of Derek Lee over the last month to last a life time. And to get to the point, IF Derek was plunked later in the game, I wouldn't be able to keep myself from smiling............ At least on the inside..........a little.

All three pitchers were doing really well and then the run support just dried up (like I have to tell anyone that), and now Davis looks to be more consistent than the rest. I'm hoping we can squeeze one win out of this series against Maddux.

I have a bad feeling here. Bases loaded for Lee.

Yup, a grandslam.

*sigh*

And as always, Steve Stone predicted it. Of all the the games I have seen on FSN Chicago this season, he has yet to be wrong about anything.

During the pregame show, he predicted Capuano would have a short outing. He was right about that too.

Amazing.

Ok, now here's a situation where Ben Hendrickson could get about five or six innings of work in a relatively pressure-free game. We're going to lose, so it doesn't matter if he gives up another seven runs. Instead, these innings are going to Wes "He just needs to go down to Triple-A for a while and work on some things" Obermueller, who for whatever reason is not at Triple-A.

Instead, Hendrickson is racking up more meaningless innings dominating the International League. I don't get it.

And Moeller strikes out, missing the last pitch by a foot.......or so.

Is Clement really THAT good? Nah, we're just that bad.

I wonder how long we'll be no-hit for tonight?

Ok, this guy had a .335/.435/.770 line last year........who is he?

Chad Moeller.

I know it was in Arizona, and the BOB is a hitters park, but is it worth .200 points of OPS better than Miller Park? I can't imagine that it is.

Moeller hasn't hit a slider all year. He stinks. This whole team stinks. This whole franchise stinks. Everything stinks.

(Sorry, I am just so sick of all this)

Wow...what a stupid comment by Caray? I wasn't paying much attention.

On Obie and the Brewers: "They're hoping he gets some valuable experience from this as he's pencilled in the starting rotation next year."

Another homer...

Moeller hit the year before, too. He batted .385/.467 in 37 games with the D-backs and .401/.517 in 60 games with Triple-A Tucson. In fact, his lifetime Triple-A line in 185 games is .354/.469, not great considering much of that was in the pitcher-friendly Tucson park, but he hit pretty well throughout his minor league career. He never looked like a future slugger, but I'm very surprised he's been this bad.

8-0 Cubs.

The Cubs are on pace to score 24 runs tonight. We are on pace to get no-hit.

BOOOOOOOOOOO !!!!

Dear Ben Hendrickson,

We miss you. We love you. We want you to pitch for us. We don't care if you pitch like Wes Obermueller, at least not at the beginning. We just want you pitching in the big leagues, where you belong.

Sincerely,

Brewer Fans
