Since the Brewers took the lead in the 7th and Santos only pitched 6 full, that means Adams will get the win right? Had Santos gotten one out in the 7th, he'd be the winner correct? This has fantasy baseball implications.

MLB Gameday is how I follow the game... I prefer it to ESPN... I find ESPN has too many delays in between pitches, then makes them up 10 at a time...

endaround:

Agreed about Dusty... Felipe Alou is really lapping the pack in PAP this year. That's one thing I really appreciate about Nedley... he has done a great job of limiting pitch counts and stress on our starting pitchers.

homer:

You only have to go five innings to get the win, so Vic would get it if we hold on.

EDIT: I also prefer MLB.com's Gameday deal. After the game, CBS Sportsline has excellent game logs, but during the game MLB.com is the best.

Usually that's not a problem for me on espn, as I don't get to watch the computer constantly while at work. But I have mlb gameday displayed now.

For some reason, I thought you had to get an out AFTER you got the lead. Not sure what I was thinking.

Big win. Santos is for real I guess.

Victor Freaking Santos.

How good is this guy? He's now 9-3 with a 3.80 ERA. Wow.

If you haven't read about his journeyman career, check out a game recap I wrote for the Daily Brew during the last Cubs' series.

Pretty interesting story, and a Jose Paniagua reference. How can you go wrong? http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif

Great win today. Great win. Very pleased.

Woo hoo!

MLB Gameday has almost too much information for a latter 30-something who's not that much of a stathead, but I can tell the Brewers won!

So, Bill Hall helped make the difference in the game. Do we credit the sandwich that made Wes Helms nauseous?

Could it have been a cheese sandwich?

If I were a betting man, I would put a large sum of money on the Cubs today. It pains me to say that.

Good thing I'm not a betting man. At least not today.

Perfectly executed reverse jinx. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/glasses.gif

woohooo! victory is ours!!!!

Billy Hall and his crazy feet.

Geoff and the slumbering lumber awakes.

Victor......the undead rule!!!!!!

With the way Clement was throwing, I wasn't feeling too good either. But Santos settled down, limited the damage and put an end to the run scoring. The Crew "scrapped" together some runs and earned a hard fought victory.

Nice team effort

ps> were those runs unearned on Santos

I just checked ESPN and they still say 2-2, yet they haven't gone to a mythical 10th inning.

ESPN also reports that Counsell left in the 6th with a right knee injury. Could I hope that that's wrong too?
