Would trading for one or both of these guys help or hurt the bullpen? Having to send guys down or not any better than bringing up McClung.

I'd like to see McClung get a shot. He's done pretty well this year. He may walk a lot of guys, but I want to see what Maddux can do with him.

I didn't see anyone apply the "genius" label -- but McClung was a good prospect -- maybe being out of the black hole that is Tampa Bay and working with Maddux he can turn it around. He has upside.

McClung's problem has been control and I'm just thinking Maddux might be able to do something. A lot of people are saying the Brewers are tired and if in fact this is true it's not Maddux's fault. At the rate we're playing now why not bring up a guy that can nearly hit 100 mph on the gun?

Maddux may not be a genius, but quite a few pitchers have brought their walk rates down under his supervision. McClung seems like just the sort of pitcher Maddux could help. I'm not sure he could do it tomorrow, though.
