That explains it. I missed Saturdays game and thought Tuesday night for one inning was the last time he saw the mound.

Of all the games in the last month, last Saturday's game was not the one to miss. That was a very exciting and encouraging game.

Bush is starting Friday against Jason Jennings, he of the 11 run first inning a couple weeks ago.

I think the better question should of been, why wasn't Bush used for long relief yesterday? We have 2 days of rest coming up, and the taxed bullpen could have used it. Bush has a "rubber arm" and has mental toughness to take a shelling and not freak out about it. All the SP's would pitch on their normal rest till the additional day off, and hopefully the long relief by Bush gave the pen a much needed day off. Lets face it, everyones tired except Linebrick.
