Oh for God sakes he has McClung up.

Well, you did just say "get anyone up"...you weren't specific. http://static.yuku.com//domainskins/bypass/img/smileys/wink.gif

McClung's been decent lately against 1 or 2 batters...hopefully that's all he'd have to face.

Oh dear God Ned is talking to him and Jack Wilson is up. This can't end well. If Yovani loses this game I'm going to punch something.

Have we made it through the 7th inning 1, 2, 3 even once this season. This is just getting ridiculous. Even in the wins we get a huge scare in the 7th.

Keep Gallardo in until his arm falls off. That'll toughen him up!

We certainly don't want to limit Gallardo's pitches at this point. We also need to save the bullpen, I mean, it's not like we have a plethora of reinforcement arms joining the Brewers tomorrow.

Once again, Ned waited way too long to make an obvious move. Oops, looks like I jumped the gun. He's still leaving Gallardo out there. At least Bill Schroeder is calling him out.

AWESOME curveball by Yo. Nice way to end his night, IMO...give it to McClung here to get the last out.

Edit: Or not. http://static.yuku.com//domainskins/bypass/img/smileys/laugh.gif Nice job, Yo!

I hope he lets Gallardo bat for himself and then pulls him for the PR if he gets on. I don't think anyone on the bench hits better than Gallardo.

I guess this is one of those times where Ned Yost just got lucky since the man can't do anything right, huh?

Two expressions come to mind...one with a visually-impaired squirrel, and another with a malfunctioning timepiece. Just kidding, of course...Gallardo deserves serious props there and this one surely did work out for Ned.

The uproar wasn't so much about the outcome of this particular situation, which turned out nicely for Gallardo and Yost. It's about debating where to draw the line for how much strain you're willing to put on Gallardo's arm to try and get a few more batters out of him.

I think it's fairly well-established that Counsell is Ned's 'start the inning pinch hitter.' (I guess Gross sometimes has that role as well but obviously he's otherwise occupied tonight...) Or 'start the rally' rather, since Counsell didn't lead off the inning.

I know this isn't the "right thread" but a heads up that Scott Baker of the Twins is currently 3 outs from a perfect game in the Dome against the Royals.

Nice pitching by Gallardo. I really hope we don't end up paying a big price for using him as much as we are this year.

They are not. His innings are still in the safe zone.
