The NL really does not have "long men", as they are often PH for. If you have a relief guy in the NL who often goes more than a couple innings, you have a horrendous team.

Al, there really aren't many 5 inning long men in the game. Instead, Capellan would replace Dessens in the "we're down by 8 and it's the 5th inning" role. Either that, or the "we're up 7-0 and want a pitcher to go the last 3 innings" role
