good free pop up blocker downloads?

Honestly, I'd just use Firefox. It's built-in.

A 3-year old computer should be able to run it without any issues.

Technically, IE got popup blocking in XP SP2, and IE 7 has it too.

I gte popups several times a day on Firefox, and I have another pop-up blocker too. Netflix is by far the most common.

never had a pop-up with firefox. i actually find myself having to disabling the pop-up blocker when sites have pop-ups that you want to see.

 

i also have become immune to the lack of ads on firefox thanks to ad-block. i will look at a site in IE or something and think "wow...i never knew there were ads there!"

I still get pop ups with firefox, nearly all of them from mlb.com/team sites. Seriously, major league freakin baseball needs to raise some cash by sending out a Bowflex of Netflix pop-up.

I hate to quote someone just to say "agreed" but this is identical to my experience as well.

The only site I have been getting them from with FF is CNN. I probably set it to allow them from there so I could watch video or whatever, but I can't figure out how to switch it back. Orbitz golfing games are only fun the first time.

Temke, mine is checked, and I still get them about one per hour, as I said. That said, if I avoided the team site, I might just get one all day.
