Yeah that's it -- Ben Dreith was pretty famous for explanations like that -- That was awesome seeing Jim Kelly getting slapped around.

 

"Jim Kelly may have said something to Marty Lyons" -- I guarantee that he did.

Yeah -- This was something Madden would talk about endlessly. Whenever a ref. goes out of his way to explain a call, Madden will oftentimes bring up "giving him the business".

Wow... maybe I should turn the penalty settings up higher than the default. I've never heard a madden ref say that. Too hilarious though.

I haven't heard that in a Madden game since, like, Madden 1998 or so.

I think you are wrong, but maybe not.

I may be wrong; I'm just saying that I haven't heard it in a game since Madden 98. Doesn't mean someone else could have.

It just sticks in my head. Maybe it still is from Madden 98, but that's 10 years ago. I don't remember stuff from class this afternoon. Anyway, I know I heard it in Madden, and I always wondered what that was all about. The things you learn at Brewerfan.net.

it was in madden. I thought it was even earlier than 98. I thought that it was in like madden 95....either way, I know the ref called something like that.
