I may be wrong on this, but weren't Bay and Nady Padre property previously? I know Nady was, as I watched him when I lived in Portland.

Morris probably has negative value, so Pitt's new front office likely wants to include him.

If the Pads deal Headley and stick with Kouzmanoff at 3B (where only Braun saved him from bottom-feeding), instead of playing Headley at 3B & moving Kouzmanoff to LF, I'd lose a lot of faith in Kevin Towers & Sandy Alderson. Since I can't imagine them being so dull, I'd have to guess this is hot air. Not that Bay isn't a fine player - he is. They just look to have a solid in-house solution.

Bay came over with Oliver Perez in the deal that sent Brian Giles to SD. It looked like a steal for Pittsburgh until Oliver Perez fell apart.
