Animal Collective, Merriweather Post Pavilion

Longwave, Secrets Are Sinister

My Bloody Valentine, Loveless

AC's new album is quite honestly one of the best albums I've heard in quite some time, especially from an American band. Longwave's album, while unspectacular in many regards, is just the kind of fun, adrenaline-filled music that helps me get through long school days, so I've been turning to it quite a bit lately on my iPod. As for MBV, it's a classic album. It's really great as background music, but equally interesting when you are really dissecting what you're listening to.

I was semi-obsessed with 'My Girls' for the first week or so MPP was out. Can't wait for their 5/19 date at the Riverside. Also, I've been looking for a used copy of Loveless for about 5 years now, but have always came up empty.

Band of Horses - Cease to Begin

I saw these guys open up for Iron & Wine in Minneapolis back in 2005. I remember enjoying them more than the average opening act, but I never really thought they had it in them. Everything All The Time was a pleasant surprise, and Cease to Begin is even better.

Stereolab - Sound-Dust

My baby loves this one. I'm not sure if it's all the singing in French or the quirky noises coming in and out of the speakers. If he's still a fan of this type of music in about 20 years, I'd be ecstatic.

Stereolab - Sound-Dust
This is my favorite Stereolab album. Might even be using "Space Moth" as the recessional for our wedding this winter.

King Crimson: "Red"

The whole album shreds. "Starless" is unbelievable and the last 2-3 minutes are some of the greatest minutes in rock history.

Well, Alejandro Escovedo's "Gravity" is literally stuck in the CD player in my car. Not exactly complaining since I love it, just would kind of like to get it out of there so I could put something else in.
