Computer seems to be running hard

My computer seems to be running with a whine all the time lately. I dont remember this ever happening before and if it did it was not so often.

 

Does anyone have an idea what it might be? The whine is when I am connected to the NET.

Probably a fan rubbing. Does it come from the back of the PC?

Can you be more specific about what the whine sounds like? How full is your hard drive? Have you run a virus scan recently?

Porn doesn't make your computer whine. it makes your girlfriend whine.

No its not porn - so it cant be a virus I dont think. I have a virus scan running and I get the various tracking cookies but no viruses.

 

Its a hard noise to describe. It just sounds like its working extra hard. Its a constantly running.

 

I am looking and I have 72 Processes running which really seems excessive. They all either say SYSTEM next to it or HP_Administrator.

Have you ever blown the dust out of your computer? It could becausing your fans to run overtime as your computer is overheating from dust blocking the air to the cpu or other components.
