my cable (TV) went out, how am i still online?

I am baffled by this one, My TV is out cold, no signal, yet, I can still be online

Cable outage? I thought that only happened to those unlucky sapps with a *yuck* Dish.

 

Seriously though, I'm not sure how that is. I looked on google for a few minutes for help, but came up with nothing. Sorry.

Cable companies get their feeds from satellite dishes anyway, so maybe something happened there...

Could be your cable box, happened to me a couple of weeks ago. The cable connection was still active, so I got internet, but no cable TV. They ended up having to come over and replace my cable box.

Whatever it was, it's fine now. It could very well be some sort of reset the company does from time to time at 4am when they think no one will notice. It could have been a hightend level of moon spot activity.
