Rottino's splits

Anybody check out Rottino's splits? Especially his numbers against lefties? He's hitting .357 with a .900 OPS against southpaws in 115ABs. He's been hitting well overall of late, but I was really surprised to see the big difference between lefties and righties.

Not a bad bench bat to have in September versus lefties, eh?! I'm all for him coming up in September unless the powers that be don't want to give him a 40-man spot until after the season.

Vinny was 4 for 5 last night to raise his average to .314. He has hit .381 since the all-star break.

Will he get a chance in Milwaukee before the end of the year?

probably not...vinny's headed to fall bal, which generally means he misses the september callup...

vinny should have a shot at a bench spot in the spring...and i think his odds would be pretty good..

both the Journal Sentinal and milwaukeebrewers.com have been quoting the front office as saying it's likely that Rottino gets called up.

For a team that can't score runs, I don't see why you don't at least give him a chance. I know there are reasons to keep him down, but when a guy is that hot, give him a shot.
