  1. I think about 80% of the target audience does not care about analytics and modern baseball theory. I'm a diehard fan and some of the stats are above me and that's totally fine with me. If the Brewers were to hire a "color guy" who went into detail about advanced metrics it would bore the viewing audience to death.
  2. First of all, this post didn't age well. Second of all, how can you say they hadn't "poured it on"? They scored 2 in the first, 4 in the second, and 2 more in the third. Im pretty sure thats the definition of pouring it on. Beat me to it. Getting to the Cubs' pen early in this series will benefit the Brewers in the next two games, too. It's 10-5, Chase needs to eat another inning, maybe two.
  3. What are you basing this on? How bout those 4 cold weather games they lost against the cubs last year. I don’t see a bunch of reds players dressed in winter masks and such. Lots of Latin players and southern Californians prob doesn’t help either. Are you suggesting the Reds' players all come from cold weather states?!
  4. He must have hit it hard... but right at the Cardinals shortstop. Can we get Hiura up and Moose at short yet? Not quite yet, we'll let you know. It will be somewhere between never and the day after never. I don't often laugh out loud on this board, but this was excellent.
  5. Young guys not getting any close calls at all the last two nights. I could understand it more with Peralta since he was really all over the place, but Woodruff has - for the most part - been around the zone. Seems like a tight zone so far, which I'm sure will change as the game goes on (as it did last night).
  6. At first glance I thought my eyes were playing tricks on me. Combined with the red I think they look really good.
  7. I can't stand watching Tyler Flowers receive the ball as a catcher. It's like he snatches at it, I've never seen a catcher do this before. Bryce Harper just hit an absolute bomb.
