  1. "Went well." You mean CC didnt say "Hes just not looking good, its panic time around here!" When are we ever going to ignore these generic comments?? When we're not looking to post 50 times a day?
  2. Why would you turn down 2/12 from a team that is seriously contending? Being a backup at 2/12 would be a sweet gig.
  3. First pitch breakkaball to Hiura and he deposits it into the hill in LF. Side note: I like watching dudes with their beers running after balls on the hill. They inevitably fall and spill their beer everywhere. Classic.
  4. Keston Hiura's 1st inning double was a thing of beauty.
  5. I read through it and I guess I don't really know what he was even trying to say. He could sound like a manure salesman with a mouthful of product if he can produce for the big league club.
  6. Holy smokes. Was just talking about Lawrie to my buddy the other day and we couldn't believe he hasn't played since 2016. I'm just going to say I think the guy is a douche but maybe being out of MLB humbled him a bit.
  7. I wouldn't have guessed that he was 83. I 'member a legendary stare down with Frank Robinson and an umpire whose name escapes me at the moment when he was most recently managing (and without looking it up I can't remember when that was). Old school. RIP.
  8. Seems like I read/see a decent amount about athletes refusing to change. "I know what got me here" type attitudes, so it's refreshing to see Braun take an honest look at the previous year (yeah, maybe it wasn't as bad as has been discussed here, etc) and realize he may need to try something different in the offseason. Can't wait for 2019.
  9. Huh, I vaguely remember that incident, but had completely forgotten the players involved. Okay, cross him off the list then.
  10. You can call me crazy, but it wouldn't be a terrible gamble to see if he can play some 3B.
  11. That was hilarious. I have some memories of that but didn't know it was on Deadspin.
  12. The crotch grab wasn't nearly as painful as watching his ball sail over the CF wall for a three-run bomb, and didn't hurt nearly as much as the offense not doing much in the game. Sorry, thought we were talking about Puig and the suck it gesture he made. They're both clowns, unfortunately who are going to the WS. Sucks.
  13. Me neither. In fact, if that deal is out there to be made, I hope it gets done.
  14. The reward is another chance to win a game to go to the World Series. Brewers fans are babies. "We might lose, so there isn't excitement." Are you all kidding me? I get the tension, it'll suck if they lose, but to say people aren't excited is crazy talk to me. If the Brewers can get a few early runs (and yes, I realize this is a big IF with this offense the way they're swinging it), then there will be plenty of excitement.
  15. 3-1 now. Meh, no confidence we're going to do anything other than roll over but I love being proven wrong!
  16. I think he is 0-13 with runners on, and has left 18 runners left on. If anyone wants to fact check that, please feel free. 0-14 now and 19 left on base (came into the at bat 0-13 and 16 runners stranded).
  17. Was Tim Lincecum just on the phone in the Dodgers dugout?! Who the hell was that?
