  1. Brian Price seems like a whiner. This home plate ump is terrible.
  2. Wait a minute, that's three extra-base hits in one inning. It's the JERSEYS!
  3. Schafer breaks up the no-no with a screamer up the middle.
  4. They're waiting for Bruce to put the game out of reach; knock-out blow coming in the 2nd inning. Rogers just yipped that one over to 1B. Your feet are planted, how is that throw THAT terrible?
  5. Wouldn't his 'quota' be 5.5? He's a guy that stands to maybe pitch 6innings Which to fill his quota at 6ip would be 3.63Ks. It's per 9innings he'd have to pitch the CG to have to do 5.5. Last time he pitched in to the 7th inning was July 1, 2013. CG Aug 11,2012. Odds are quite against it. Right, understood. Not sure why I was thinking that. It was a derp moment.
  6. Well, against this lineup, it's not out of the realm of possibilities.
  7. Yeah, is that a BP jersey? I've never seen them wore these in a regular season game. Marquis just struck out the side, and I'm not even surprised. He should have struck out Herrera looking, too.
  8. If Smith were in the rotation, his stuff likely wouldn't be as sharp or as hard, since he'd have to conserve energy to pitch to more than just one or two hitters. Since he's in a specialist role, he can amp up his fastball and slider so it's more effective - max energy type situation. I thought KC moved him to the pen because he just wasn't a great starter but had good stuff.
  9. The answer is Jason Marquis. Wouldn't be shocked if Marquis was bad enough that this lineup could score 7 runs off of him. Also wouldn't be shocked if this Brewers lineup is bad enough that Marquis could get 7 shutout innings. I'm going with the latter, rather than the former, despite my sarcastic post that you quoted.
  10. At first, I was inclined to grumble about Schafer batting higher up than Maldonado... but what's the point I feel like Marty McFly, except I've gone back to 2002. Good Lord is that lineup for the Brewers ugly; of course, they'll score a bunch of runs tonight and we'll all wonder how it could be possible.
  11. Didn't the entire team look good in spring training?
  12. That's the million dollar question; I wish someone could figure it out.
  13. Yeah. Cute story. Except that injury is more consistent with blunt force trauma, as in punching something. I disagree. The ring finger and pinky knuckles would be swollen if he had punched something - like a Boxer's fracture. Those are the two digits that sustain more damage when someone punches something solid. The fact that it's just a cut and there's no bruising (or swelling) doesn't lead me to believe he punched anything. Edit to add, he's also a righty..so I would assume he'd be punching with his right hand, if he's doing it out of anger. Maybe he was angry and decided to punch with his left hand and his non-throwing hand, but..yeah, I just don't see it.
  14. Just my opinion , but I don't think a lack of bunting is or has ever been a problem under Roenicke. Khris Davis has 0 successful sacrifices in his career. The one thing he does well is drive the ball. I'd be pretty upset if they had him try to sac bunt (probably unsuccessfully) with the weak hitting Parra on deck. Difference in philosophy I guess. I understand where you're coming from, however I just feel that trying to optimize your scoring chances early when you're already down 4 runs would have a "change" from last year. Conversely, some might see that as giving the other team an out and eliminating the chance of a big inning. You're right, just different philosophies.
  15. The lack of offense, mainly just driving the ball (or lack thereof), is really something to behold. I'm just blown away.
  16. Ryan Braun has an OPS of .512. $13.5 million just doesn't go as far as it used to.
  17. It really is amazing; there were a couple of soft line drives to outfielders today, but the team seriously has zero power right now. I really have never seen a group with really no threat to drive the ball like the Brewers have shown so far in 2015. And to Rogers at 3B; at this point, I don't really care how bad his defense is. It really doesn't matter anymore, does it?
  18. Yeah, they're "pitching well" because the Brewers are getting themselves out by swinging at crap every single at bat.
  19. Braun going to get hit here? Nevermind, just another quality at-bat.
