  1. No kidding. I just can't believe that was the line of thinking for going with Broxton - that's seriously the worst logic and it's not the first, second, third, .. 10th, whatever time we've all thought that about RR.
  2. I almost just watch now to see how they're going to blow games, and it gives me something to complain about and then I feel better about anything else I might actually be stressed about. It's not an ideal situation, but taking my frustrations out on the Brewers seems to be a bit therapeutic.
  3. If the Brewers were somehow able to play another 30 games last year, they likely would have lost at least 20 of them. It seems to have just carried over into this season. They literally got every break in the bottom of the 9th to tie the game, only to have a backup catcher take their closer deep to retake the lead.
  4. I'm happy to at least see Braun in the on-deck circle rather than Logan Schafer.
  5. Was only a matter of time before the Crew got behind tonight.
  6. Is it RR or Melvin who decides who will be on the 25-man? Schafer has been around the club for a while and seeing him up there, basically the only hope was the dribbler he was likely to hit would somehow find a hole on the infield. Naturally, it found the 2nd baseman.
  7. Ah, so did Garza forget that there was only 1 out? It's early, and these games are relatively meaningless, but holy crap am I sensitive to that type of nonsense and with the making the 1st out at 3rd when you're already down big.. little things that cost them so many times late last year. Every team does this kind of stuff, but not every team had a historic collapse as recent as the Brewers partly because of these things.
  8. Talking to a buddy of mine, and I called a big inning here in the 4th for the Rockies. This is crazy in these first two games. These guys are hitting like the Cardinals in the 2011 NLCS - like they know what's coming.
  9. At least we didn't have to watch Ramirez and Davis fail to knock in a runner in a "runner on third, less than two outs" scenario. #optimism
  10. I liked Brian and Bill saying that Garza was "rolling right along" prior to this inning; nevermind that he struggled in the 2nd and guys were squaring him up in those three innings. Rolling right along! Those types of comments - just trying to be optimistic - remind me of the collapse when even the Brewers having a lead was a rarity.
  11. And he was just as terrible as always. Rickie Weeks cut his hair.. and hit a ball over the batter's eye. Not sure if you watched the whole Mariners game or not but they interviewed Rickie and asked him about learning outfield and corner infield. His response was that it was no big deal. Seemed like a big deal last year. I did hear that and had similar thoughts. Oh well.

  13. Herrara has about the same chance as I do of making the opening day roster thankfully barring serious injuries to Jimenez or Hector Gomez. Too bad Matt Clark isn't right handed otherwise he would be playing himself into a backup 1B and OF spot as well. Little to no chance Herrera makes the team. Looks like I'll have to find a new whipping boy.
  14. Elian Herrera - as of today - is still a part of this team. He's #1 (in my eyes) for the player who makes the worst outs on the bases. It's not really fair, but I just remember him making bad outs in terrible situations in 2014; even though it was a spring game I saw him get picked off once already in 2015. I think I had flashbacks. The guy is versatile but man he is frustrating to watch at times.
  15. He had a bit more leverage to say 'No' in Milwaukee to playing OF as he was already under contract; it just meant he might not see as many at-bats (he didn't). He has/had little-to-no leverage this offseason as he was a FA; I'm sure he was a bit more receptive to playing OF as it would likely lead to getting paid in 2015.
  16. Can you explain to me how the Brewers passed on Mike Trout when the Angels selected him before the Brewers could draft him?
