  1. A couple of missiles from Yelich and Contreras and we've got a 2-out rally.
  2. I have been listening a lot over the weekend and I think the radio broadcast (from what MLB provides me) is about 6 commercials. It's not all that different from TV but a few of the "punch lines" get really loud.
  3. The 'Brandon Woodruff to the Major Leagues' saga feels a lot like when you're dreaming and trying to get to the game but you're always missing an item: glove, jersey, pants, bat, etc. Feels like Woodruff is going to be "ready" for MLB but then hurt something else and need a few more starts. This team is going nowhere unless they improve the offense so I wouldn't blame him if he's waiting, or the organization is waiting, whatever. But at this point it just seems like he's going to throw about 50 innings at the MLB level.
  4. This team is a few bats and a big arm (or two) away from being a competitor, IMO. I still watch and get worked up but yeah, I don't have big expectations any more. Just not enough talent on the big league roster.
  5. I would take just about any other pitcher on this roster than Alexander at this point.
  6. Alexander sucks but I was informed there are no other possibilities as "half the team is on the IL".
  7. Cool. Haven't seen any here but was hoping to avoid the dreaded, "he'll need to move off this position eventually" type talk.
  8. "On the ground but sharply" - yeah, we know, keep selling us the broken down sports car.
  9. Yelich really pounded the crap out of that one. You know it's bad when they're crediting the cleanup hitter for advancing the runners. Normally you reserve that kind of praise for, oh, I don't know, the backup catcher. The 9th batter, etc.
  10. Right. This is kind of the result of not taking walks earlier in the year. Pitchers know they can nibble and he'll swing and he's not making the adjustment. I don't know if that's hitting coaches or just not being able to settle down or what but he's a big time mess.
