Really needed that from Joe Ross. Nice start.

This team continues to have nice at bats with RISP. Man.. just a nice run right now. Love seeing Perkins contributing.

Maybe there's something to this, where guys are going to know who's generally in front of and behind them and what they may expect. I like that Turang has basically stayed in the same 1 or 2 spots all year. I don't know if there's anything to hitters just settling into a spot but I did think it was a little annoying how there was almost zero consistency to Counsell's lineups. Maybe this is just an old guy yelling at a cloud but I have been somewhat pleased at seeing certain hitters being mainstays in certain spots.

Agreed with Vinnie that I am surprised Ashcraft came into this inning and/or is still pitching. His velo was down last inning and was lucky to only give up 3. Oh well!

    Clancy supports this.

Been a while since I've seen that. "Who's pitching in this game?"
  7. yfinn6
Surprised Frelick wasn't rung up on the pitch before the double.
  8. yfinn6
Yeah, he's been looking good so far. I like that he seems to be really hitting the ball hard on a regular basis.

Team was playing with fire most of the day today so the result in this inning isn't very surprising. Like yesterday, they need to start putting together better at bats when they have runners on. Ah well.
  10. yfinn6
Need the offense to come up with a big hit when runners are on base.

Congrats on the new job. This is the first time I've been able to work from home during a Brewers' opener so you can bet it's going to be on my personal computer while I "work".

I don't know how that ball didn't travel 500 feet. It looked like it cleared everything in the stadium.

As long as I resided within the MKE market, it didn't matter where the games were played, I was blacked out from using MLBtv to watch the Brewers. I thought the Bally Sports App was garbage, but it allowed me to watch every game that was telecast without having a cable subscription. I haven't seen (lazy or otherwise) what's going on in 2024 with Brewers' telecasts.

In my previous experience, I still wasn't able to play the games through a VPN if I was in the MKE market. Hopefully you have better luck.

Why do I feel this post is projecting. Weren't you done with this thread, on more than one occasion? I don't really care about Craig Counsell anymore. I hope the Cubs lose more games than they win for the next decade. It's not as bad as Favre going to the Vikings, but that marriage ended in spectacular fashion.

He's probably still too upset about Ryan Braun to come back to Milwaukee in any capacity.
  18. yfinn6
    Apparently it is.
  19. yfinn6
Holy crap. And I'm just reminded that Ginter brought Nelson Cruz to Milwaukee.

You're closer to adult diapers than you are this clip, if that makes you feel any better.
  21. yfinn6
    This is embarrassing.
  22. yfinn6
Haha. Just one of those nights.
  23. yfinn6
Rowdy Tellez dented a ball last night that.. (checks notes)... Adam Wainwright threw?!
  24. yfinn6
Shocked there was another double play. SHOCKED.
  25. yfinn6
Honestly... why not let Wainwright pitch more? Like.. he hasn't had a very stressful night, they don't need to save him for next year. Hopefully this blows up in their face in a big way.
