I don't think self-confidence has anything to do with it with Molina. He comes across as a self-righteous jerk with anger issues, & it appears that he doesn't like social interactions to boot.
He must be some player then! I see him on the highlights but otherwise I'm unfamiliar. On the Reds: sure enough they gained ground on ALL seven NL post season contenders last night. Pretty scary. That's really hard to do. Surely the Cubs can get one tonight...........NOT! Baseball-Reference.com is a great website & requires very little effort to view a ton of information. Check it out!
Thiago Silva must feel like absolute garbage for that incredibly stupid yellow he picked up against Colombia. What a performance from Germany, but Brazil defended just indefensibly poorly.
I'd trust a veteran like Benoit before I gamble on a rookie like Jeffress. Taking a chance on Jeffress is something you do in a losing season. I think the Brewers should do the smart thing and pick up a clutch veteran RP. Will Smith, Joaquin Benoit, and K-Rod is an excellent trio. Ironically, our current closer was 'gambled on' in a WS-championship campaign to which he contributed massively.
The US did exactly that to Ronaldo during their match against Portugal. Yet, he still burned them in the 92nd minute. The US didn't even get close to how badly Maradona used to get kicked & abused on the field. Maradona played in an era where it took a lot more to get a foul called, & opposing teams really went after him. You just couldn't stop him through 'clean' means most days.
If my superpower is in fact propelling Brewers to first-time all-star appearances, then it won't work with Jean. I was thinking of suggesting that the Brewers have SSHs meet the Khrush next year, though. Oh crap -- of course!
I agree with you that the best option regarding SS is to let Segura continue to play as the first choice. I think at this point I might (if I were manager) give him a couple games off in a row as more of a mental break than anything else. He just looks completely stuck in bad habits at the plate right now... isn't really changing his approach & not surprisingly the results aren't changing.
brewcrewdue80, I think you really need to recognize the context here. Adambr2 didn't do anything but express frustration. I understand yours, but no need to take it out on him, ad-hominem style. He's a smart poster & is fully aware of our organizational depth (or lack thereof) at the top levels at SS.
DFA Segura, Clearly Bianchi/Prince/Herrera can do better! Go ahead you're essentially asking for that with any kind of displeasure with Segura That's not what he said at all. He was expressing frustration, not being over the top.
