  1. Let's just keep the Weeks chat in the other thread. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  2. Stop slinging stuff like that around when you're the one that needs to re-evaluate. Rickie Weeks is a well above-avg. 2Bman. The only reason you're confused is that you're using BA as the only evaluation tool, let alone the fact that you're weighing it heavily -- that's the crazy part. In fact, given your screenname, I wonder if we have some trollage going on here.
  3. Good grief, if you're using BA as the lone evaluating tool, no wonder you don't like the concept that Weeks has been very solid. Not to mention that 2008 is his first healthy season, but why bother noting that, right?
  4. Eric Ludwick Just going to nitpick... It's Ryan, not Eric. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif In Lee, Ramirez and Soriano they have three sure-fire studs. Guys that have been productive for YEARS. Yes... however, the past has little or nothing to do with this season. To use a season or two ago to 'prove' something for this current season is to misapply stats. The Brewers are the young & improving team, and should be expected to perform near or above their past production. The Cubs are the aging team, and should be expected to perform near or below their past production. Taking only offense into account, give me Fielder, Braun, & Hart any day over the Cubs trio you listed. Guys that are going to be productive for YEARS.
  5. They're putting a lineup out there with guys like Ramirez, Soriano, Lee and Fukudome while we're still waiting for Rickie Weeks to prove he even belongs in the majors. Give. Me. A. Break. Have you checked the Brewers roster lately? And the notion that Weeks has yet to prove he's solid.... mmmmphm.
  6. I believe I said that next to Haren this was the best signing of the off-season. Don't like it one bit. Haren was traded, and what do you mean about this being an off-season signing?
  7. Sheets isn't making much of a case to rid himself of the "injury-prone" label, regardless of the unpredictability and strangeness of his injuries. Totally agree. This is the second injury for Ben that really has concerned me (first being the latissumus dorsi... which is probably related to this), and this time I'm more worried. The possibility of rotator cuff trouble and/or muscle interaction with the rotator cuff/shoulder... this time it isn't some fluky thing, now it's his throwing arm/shoulder. Not good.
  8. This is my new goal/request for Kendall. He looks to be nearly Robin Williams hairy, so I bet he could pull it off... http://cascolytravel.com/images/burnside.jpg He could keep game notes on the ledges!
  9. Ooh! Fukudome did not look comfortable with his right arm after crashing into the short wall in RF down the first base line chasing a pop-up. He got his glove-tip on the ball, couldn't make the catch, and really hit the wall (roughly up to his hips) going pretty quickly. He was holding & shaking his right arm while holding his glove as he walked back to RF. He's had elbow problems in the past, so I just wonder...
  10. "Uh oh" My exact words on seeing TBow. I laughed, then got too nervous to laugh.
  11. I now demand every Brewers player goes vegetarian.
  12. Curtain call, c'mon I love that BA lets the crowd call the HR trot. A BOCA BURGER BOMB!!!!! You just created a great promotion
  13. great swing there by Prince -- that was tough MY WORD
  14. I was talking about the sound I know. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif Just appreciating the huge upgrade on the visuals.
  15. Whether it's Melvin or Yost there shouldn't be 14 pitchers on the team. That's making Yost's decisions that much more difficult. True, but what's amazing is that Ned managed to burn out 13-14 arms. That's quite a feat. Production WOAHS not SOLVDD Camera selection has been perfect or nearly so.
  16. Rock is traveling between dimensions!
  17. Ned Yost says, 'Hope - pass it on' We have to name his trademarked non-PH for a starter-that's-clearly-fatigued/less effective move (and yes, I agree that today is a poor situation, but one Yost created himself) Whats the point of keeping Bush in to hit He needs Rivera's bat for the 12th inning. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif
  18. I sure hope Bush can get through the 7th now. Now you're managing the Ned Yost way!
  19. In this thread earlier...did someone seriously say Gross is in better shape then Kapler? I said he's taller & more athletic. That CB from Hamels was sick. Nice to see Fielder calmly get an explanation/talk it over.
  20. Nice take by Braunie on that low & away change Same pitch? Ugh. Whiff. Ok, 86 -- was that a cutter?
  21. Not understanding this...why "should" it be 3-2? Rickie's poor throw on the DP = 2-run HR instead of solo jack. Rickie Weeks loves getting on base so much he sometimes throws the ball into the ground near first just to share the joy with others.
  22. I know Rock has his stumbles/shortcomings, but he also (imo) makes some really sharp observations & adequately relays them without sounding dumb or condescending.
  23. The Phils have a studly offense, and he's facing their ace. Not an easy draw for Dave, so I won't count him not picking up a W here against Bush.
  24. Is it just me or have the TV production WOAHs been SOLVDD tonight?
