  1. Brewers dead last in MLB in Quality Starts. Whether you hate that stat or not, I think it's telling. 9, and I bet almost all were over that 2 week period in April. Can you even fathom any of these guys giving you 7 strong, much less a CG?
  2. It just occurred to me. The cardinals aren't going to like Arcia. At all.
  3. And people wanted a 6 man rotation. We would need like 18 guys on the pitching staff.
  4. I guess Anderson's only good for 4 innings tonight too.
  5. Bernie Brewer, certain members on the TV coverage I won't mention, and whoever manages the concessions. Edit: Forgot Ed Sedar. They could wheel a windmill out to the 3B coach's box for a fraction of the cost.
  6. Lara hitting .133. Ouch. That's actually hard to do with as many ABs as he's had.
  7. You need a passport to go to Toronto. I mention this because years ago a not so bright family member got tickets for a series, drove over there...only to find out they couldn't get into Canada.
  8. Position doesn't matter, they need to take best player available. SF, PF, SG...positions don't even matter in the NBA. They can use trades and FA market to fill in any holes, but the draft is for finding high upside guys. When they drafted for need, shooter, they ended up with Vaughn.
  9. I thought topic was "LAVA Ball genius or insane" Figured I didn't need to even read any posts to know a Lava Ball is genius, insane, and awesome!
  10. There is some value in acquiring players who can contribute at the AA/AAA level. By no means am I saying that's a reason to trade for a player, or it's that big of a deal at all. But there is a(very) marginal benefit to have ta guy like Betancourt around. AA/AAA rosters sometimes need filler to round out the roster and help win some games. No proof, but it must be easier for the "real" prospects to develop when their team isn't absolutely horrible as a whole.
  11. Thanks I remember at the time he went on DL there was no other comment at the time, and since. Hope it's not one of those cases where we find out 3 months later he got TJ.
  12. Only 7 teams got an OPS over .800 from RF last season, and only one over .850. So not only would.800- .850 for Santana not be a terrible thing, it would be a great thing.
  13. Has anyone heard any news on Jordan Yamamoto?
  14. Who gets the win, in the off chance they win this game?
  15. Trey Supak, welcome to bf.net top 25. Glimmer of hope from Nottingham, two 2Bs. As for McKenzie, yea...would have been nice to have in Lucroy deal. We still do r have an arm like that in the system.
  16. Does it work in reverse? Do you have any Brewers pitchers you can cut and they become good??
  17. No, it's a terrible idea. Especially with Braun at the plate. Even more, I hate the way it seems to be tolerated. You only need a 69% success rate stealing 3rd with 1 out to break even, so it is not a terrible idea. Villar in his career steals 3rd base at 80% (28/35) With Arcia and pitchers spot up, sure take your chances. I don't like it at all with the heart of the order up. Personal preference I guess.
  18. No, it's a terrible idea. Especially with Braun at the plate. Even more, I hate the way it seems to be tolerated.
  19. Yes, this sucks http://www.brewcrewball.com/2017/5/9/15502820/milwaukee-brewers-prospect-nathan-kirby-undergoes-another-elbow-surgery
  20. I'm sure CS has something to do with it. But BB rate is improving. He walked just 6 times in all of April, he already has 7 walks in May. Another thing to watch, only 19 PAs vs LHP so far this season.
