  1. Not any agent, just Boris. Yes, baseball is ruined until the next CBA. You didn’t realize that until now?
  2. Boras was never going to let him be traded to anyone but the Dodgers. It’s that simple.
  3. If you can get the right player in return, trade him. It would need to be similar to the trade for Wild Bill. Proven high quality bat that is blocking someone. It's really threading the needle, but Peralta definitely has value.
  4. Plenty of lefties, and Miz is another option there since there's no way he's starting in the playoffs. But I predict he doesn't make the postseason roster.
  5. Just came in to say Coach Cooper would have yanked Seigler after that lollipop throw to first.
  6. Gasser is another candidate for BP duty. They need another late inning reliever, preferably LH, and Gasser could be a perfect fit. Ashby is a bit wild for a setup man type role, I think he has the perfect role right now. It is time though, after the trade deadline they need to add Henderson to the BP, and Gasser when he's ready. Not sure there's a role for Patrick.
  7. 1) SS is the most obvious offensive upgrade, but that may be needle/haystack. But I don't think they need to be limited by position. Yelich could play more OF opening up the DH spot for any position player. 2) Agreed. LH reliever so they can leverage the best option in the 7th and 8th depending on opposition's lineup.
  8. I don't think they start the season with an all rookie OF, but two would be realistic. Then the 3rd you bring up with Turang by the ASB. If they do that, I'll actually pay for Ballys. I would be 100% more interested in watching that team play every night vs a team with a couple of Renfroe-lights.
  9. Does anyone believe Rodgers has a say in who makes the roster at WR? I'm honestly asking. Not that he has say in how many they keep, or anything like that. But if he feels strongly about Winfree, or whomever does he get his wish?
  10. CC can go, that's fine with me. But not for any of the reasons the OP mentioned. I just happen to believe pro sports teams can benefit from shaking things up with a new manager/ head coach. I think everything gets comfortable and predictable, and that's not ideal.
  11. Seems like the k rate is down this year for the Brewers, do the stats back that up?
  12. I know you're aware they've had almost no cap room for years. Somehow he was able to get Holiday and they won a chip.
  13. Lopez also gives up a lot of 3s, he just has a hard time defending on the perimeter. So I get why he doesn't get more minutes, it's a close call but hard to argue. Also, last rime they tried that, game 3 I think, he missed a lot of shots in the paint.
  14. Rotation is finally almost set. Only change left is to never let George Hill see the court, Carter should get those minutes. He's literally better at everything than Hill. Bud made a great adjustment late in the game, switched on everything and Boston wasn't able to adjust.
  15. It's a fair question. They traded for Ibaka to do one thing. Defend the Horfords of the league in the playoffs. Did they not scout him properly to make sure he wasn't washed? If nothing else, don't you ar least try Ibaka on Horford for a few minutes? Bud got it done last year, so I really have a hard time piling on, but he does really get stuck in his pre-planned rotation, as most coaches do. You see the game turning. Try going big, go small....something. Portis, Carter, and Allen get lost on the bench while Hill gers abused. Carter is better than Hill at everything, but Hill must play because Bud "trusts him." I didn't think the Bucks would win this series without the Celtic killer, so I shouldn't be so wound up. Can't help it though, this team can be so frustrating. Any semblance of offense is gone, just Giannis and Jrue taking turns at ISO. Rant over.
  16. Exactly right. The national media hasn't been talking about the Bucks as the team to beat. Now keep the hammer down, don't let this become a series.
  17. Will they draft a kicker?
  18. Only one CB taken since pick 49. No idea if there's any CBs worth taking at 82, just found it interesting.
  19. As it turns out, Packers consult with Stokes on the draft, not Rodgers.
  20. In a way, similar to Gary pick. It's not about how complete a player he is, or how great a college player. It's about a specific set of skills. Skills that make him a nightmare for people like the Rams, Bucs, and Niners. He will find you.
  21. Walker pick brings up the perennial question. Great pick or not, would he have been available later? Can never be known, but get ready to hear that a lot.
  22. Honestly, I don't know why Seattle wouldn’t move Metcalf tonight.
  23. This is admittedly the ultimate sports cliché, but watching parts of various playoff games it just seems like other teams want it more. Bucks energy and crispness are at pre-season levels. We've seen this before, but one of these times they won't be able to just turn it on when necessary.
  24. Crazy how close Everton is to relegation. City/Liverpool will be battling for the league title, playing each other this weekend in the FA Cup semis, and could potentially face off in the Champions League final.
