    They don't understand what this trade is about, thats why all these top prospects are being thrown out there. No way the PTBN are top prospects.

    He's been pretty damn tough on lefties for his career. Not sure why you think he can't get them out. He can't this year, and that's far more relevant to me. I could see him improve though with a change of scenery. Going from a team dead all year to a team in a pennant race may help.

    No, no,no. It won't be anyone near the level of Thornburg or Rivas. As others have said this is about cash. I would be doing cartwheels if KRod was a lefty. As it is, we have another guy who can't get LH hitters out. As with Loe, if he's used right he can help. Still think they need a lefty in the pen. By the way, I was downstairs and my son was shouting down "the Brewers just got ARod!!! the Brewers got Arod!!! Its on ESPN!!!" You never saw a 44 yr old out of shape guy jump and run to the laptop as fast as I did....lol

    These announcers make me feel a lot more thankful to have BA, Rock, Cirillo, Craig Coshun, heck even Jerry Augustine. Just awful. They're trying to get their little stories in, and it's almost like Prince's 3 run shot screwed up their script.

    Although I should be used to it by now, take off your hat for the National Anthem! Went to the game on Saturday night, and "gentlemen" of all ages kept their hats on. Cmon Milwaukee, show a little respect...and class.

    No, I think we all understand it's not scalping since there's not a 3rd party involved. But the pricing method is the same as scalping. Higher demand, higher price. Lower demand, lower price.

    This thing is just too long. Also, they need to frshen up the format a bit. Bring back old sluggers like Sexson, etc. Maybe count a HR as 2 points if it's opposite field, over 450, etc. 2 bonus points for the longest HR of the round, lots of things they could do. It was fun watching Cano, he made it look like Xbox.

    Take the money and run, I would get top dollar for it. With that said, if, for example, Ryan Braun's 3,000 hit was a HR and I caught it, I would find out realistically how much it's worth. I would offer it to Ryan for that price instead of taking it right to auction or trying to sell to the highest bidder myself. I could live with getting "only" 250k instead of trying to get even more. Hometown discount, if you will.

    Well, Braddock/Stetter don't make me feel comfortable at all as LH bullpen arms. May not have a choice, I don't want to give up a Kris Davis or someone on that level for a LOOGY. May have to jsut cross our fingers and hope one or both can can get the job done.

    I don't think the BP is fine. They need another LHP. Braddock is a big question mark, but even if you could sell me on the fact that he's dependable, they need another LHP, even it it's just a LOOGY. I'm sure the're using the next couple days to decide what to do at 3B. McGehee, Green, or Gamel, or some sort of combination platter.

    2nd goal was offside for sure. Exactly why every goal in World Cup and Olympics should use replay. Tehre are so few goals scored in a match, just makes sense to make sure and review every one of them. Would only take a couple minutes, well worth it. I don't think the PK was questionable. She definitely "took her out" in the box. PK for sure in my opinion. Only question is yellow or red card, and the the red card could go either way.

    I don't think BA did Cirillo any favors. There were quite a few times Cirillo made a comment, either specific to the game or jsut off the cuff funny statements and BA didn't play off his comments very well at all. That made Cirillo look bad, when I don't really think it was his fault. It was refreshing to hear some actual insight we don't usually hear from the TV booth. Cirillo seems to be much better talking about game situations. I definitely think he would be an improvement over Augustine and Nelson on the post game show.

    The part I don't understand is why was Braddock even warming up? They knew well ahead of time who was coming up in the 8th, and if RR was commited to Hawkins then why bother warming up Braddock?

    Terrible tragedy, but I think there's a much greater risk of serious injury or death from batted balls and flying bats. I can't tell you how many times people aren't paying attention when sitting in prime line drive foul territory. So you could extend the screen to cover the entire lower deck and put a wall or more substantial fence around the upper deck in every ballpark. Or, we can accept there is risk in life, and horrible things happen to good people. Goes without saying, but there's way more risk driving home from the game than anything that could happen to you while inside the ballpark.

    Saw Def Leppard/Heart and thought it was a great show. Showing my age, but if you went to HS in the 80s, hard not to like a set when you know every single song. Heart was strong too. I know they're not critically acclaimed, in fact more of a joke to most. But hey, I like what I like. And even if you don't like the music, you gotta respect groups that can still go out there and perform at a high level at their age.

    Since this debate started (probably well over a month ago) I said they won't make a move with McGehee until the AS break. We can agree, disagree, call RR/DM morons, but it is the reality. Now, if he goes 2-16 or something similar for the Reds series I will be irate if Green isn't called up, or even put Gamel at 3B if they're more comfortable with him. You can hide Yuni in the 8 hole and he'll rake the occasional double. Look for a trade that improves SS position without giving up top level talent. Difficult, but all we're looking for is improvement both defensivel and at the plate- not a Reyes pipe dream. But you can't hide Casey's bat. It's actually not even a tough decision anymore. As I've said before, either he figures it out in Nashville or he doesn't, but half of season was plenty of time for him to get things right. 8th inning is another obvious move. They caught lightning in a bottle with Loe for a year, great. Doesn't mean he has some sort of rite to be the 8th inning guy forever. I think RR has begun to figure that out. Replacing Wilson or Counsell with a real bat off the bench is another no-brainer. Trading for another LH in the bully would help. Then the big one. Do they really go for broke and make a major move like the Sabathia trade again? This is still a rotation without a dominant #1 guy after all. If this really is an "all in" year, a stud SP may be needed for a realistic chance at a title. Hey....I'm not expecting this to happen, just throwing it out there.

    Well, he's not immune from my criticism. Now that Wilson is on the roster, Counsell is redundant. Not that Wilson will tear the cover off the ball, but I'll take him over Counsell. But the reason McGehee and Yuni get so much criticism is that they're starters. Personally, I don't have nearly the problem with Yuni compared to most here. I've watched almost every game and Yuni doesn't look like a terrible defender. Sorry. I get that he plays a lazy SS, but he isn't booting balls left and right every game. And he's not a great hitter, but that's ok for the 8 spot. (Which is where he should be.) Compare his to the numbers to the worst starter for any other team, and I'll bet his numbers don't look bad at all. McGehee on the other hand was counted on to hit 5th. So his lack of offense has really been a killer since there's runners on base for virtually every AB he has. And his defense makes Yuni look like Ozzie Smith.

    One problem with that. Casey can barely play 3B, and you want him playing 2B and OF? I can see it now. Braun in LF, Kotsay in CF, McGehee in RF.

    I would take Wilson over Counsell. Defense is a push, and I think Wilson has at least some ability at the plate. Neither had enough ABs this year to make the numbers very relevant, I just get the feeling when Wilson is up that it's not an automatic out. He seems to have a good approach. Kotsay doesn't bother me as much as most here, as long as he's used the way he should. Which is to say he should never start in CF. The problem is, the Brewers bench are strong in certain areas, but PHing is not one of them. Gomez brings two skills that can and have won games. Defense and speed on the bases. Wilson/Counsell bring redundant skills. Each can play 2B,SS,3B. But hitting, and PHing to be more specific are not their strengths. So it's not that their bench is bad, it's that they don't have bats on the bench. That's why I think Wilson has the UT covered. Gomez has the the OF covered. Kottaras...finally...is in their at backup catcher. So what they really need after those three guys is a LH PH and a RH PH- even if that means 6 OF. Boggs should be up for sure, not sure who the other guy could/should be.

    I know it won't happen, but two weeks of Gindl would be interesting. I wouldn't bring him up as a PH and 5th OF, he needs his ABs. But if Braun is out for 2- weeks, I think it would be a good move. Even Boggs as an every day starter would be better than Gomez/Kotsay. And I'm not even as down on those guys as most of you are. It's just that Gomez/Kotsay are fine in small doses, but Gindl or Boggs are more complete players and would be better choices for every day duty. Hopefully they're using the term "strain" loosely.
