Define on fire. Ramirez has a 313/389/563 slash line over the last days. I'm not a huge fan of the move in the bigger picture, but Aram has looked great at the plate for the last couple weeks. -

Dude is OPS'ing less than .700 right now. I highly doubt Lawrie ends with a career OPS less than .700 but Braun had an OPS over 1.000 over his first 500 AB's. Maybe we should hold off on the comparisons to Braun. -

Hard to think his new level is going to be a .219 BABIP, even the slowest of catchers sits higher than that. When almost a quarter of his balls in play are infield flys and less than 12% are line drives, it's probably best to stop with the BABIP argument. No its not. His other peripherals don't look even average. I get that. I was just using his BABIP to say its unlikely going to be his new norm. He has sucked, but these kind of cold streaks happen. There are a million reasons why this is a bad time for this to happen but it is what it is and I am sure it will turn around.

Rickie's BABIP is .219 and he has a .304 OBP. Once his BABIP goes up to normal range his numbers and AB's will look much better. It is frustrating that he and Aram are both sucking right now, but I am not worried about either one of them.

Ball 2 was a strike but the ump missed the call because it was nowhere near where Lucroy was set up

Braun popped out to shallow left. Kemp threw a two hopper that was up the line. Plush was tagging up through a stop sign by Sedar. Plush had a horrible slide and the ump called him safe. You could tell he was out when watching in slo mo, but live it was a little harder to tell.

Wow he was out even on an awful throw from Kemp. Plush ran through a stop sign too.

You can park overnight, but you need to call your car in and get night parking permission. http://mpw.milwaukee.gov/services/np_permission Go there and call with the address your car is parked at. You will not get a ticket or get towed if you do that. Even if you do you would only get a ticket unless you have outstanding tickets or something of that nature. I don't have much info on the parking situation around Kelly's, but I have been around that area an hour before game time and found parking within 4-5 blocks of the bars. That wasn't Opening Day though. I'd suggest getting there as early as possible and be happy with anything within a mile of the bars.

I was as big of a Green supporter last year as any, but to say he has nothing to prove in AAA is not really fair. He has less than 500 AB's at AAA. He isn't going to play in the bigs so start him in AAA and let him mash to show he has nothing left to prove. There are times when the better player stays in AAA and I'd like to see how Green does playing every day as opposed to sporadicly off the bench. This all changes should there be an injury in the IF.

Allegedly, the collector passed up two FedEx locations before going to a 3rd which wasn't shipping until Monday. Not sure if the other two would have been shipping, but if you are rushing to get something shipped why would you not go to the two closer ones? Also the samples didn't make it to FedEx until 1:30 pm on Monday. Again, why have them in your possession for an extra half day? Let's say its ok that he hangs on to them until they can ship on Monday, why not get them in there right away in the morning? I don't know that MLB claims this is the protocol, just that this has happened in the past. I think that damns MLB's testing even more. How is this good protocol? Get it to FedEx a business that is paid to keep these sorts of things, not some guys fridge or basement or wherever it is. ANy multitude of things could happen in that time as opposed to it being on lock down at a business like FedEx that will have some documentation. The other issue that Braun correctly raises is this guy is the only guy who knows whose sample it is and it should be out of his hands ASAP. FedEx can and often does handle these kinds of samples. Once it is out of his hands the chain of custody is on FedEx and more importantly the sample becomes anonymous.

No I have been thinking the same thing. My view is this. I can't say unequivocally that he 100% never used a banned substance. But at the same point anyone who says he got lucky and he is for sure a cheater who got off on a technicality is ignoring the facts. There is no way to know for sure. All we know as of now is that the process for preserving the integrity of Braun's sample was not followed. Further, it was not followed in a manner that led an independent arbitrator to be so in doubt that he did something that has never been done under the history of the testing policy ie: rule in favor of the player.

Agreed. They need to say this was a major break in protocol and they will use it as a learning experience or whatever. Trying to stand by it and say we did everything right leaves them wide open to attack.

This is getting ridiculous. The leaks in this case are absolutely mind boggling. How can anyone have any faith in the validity of their testing process when they can't keep anything confidential. No one is supposed to know anything about this.
