Hey! It works in reverse! Mention a no no by the other team and our next guy gets a hit. And of course its Cam Garfield. Young kid, already in Helena and, for a catch and throw guy, hitting the ball impressively. Most interesting player in this draft class so far.

It might be a good idea for Helena to toss in a hit here soon, Looking bleak after 6.

Cutter has been playing just terrible so far. Seems like this may have been a distraction, huh?

Dykstra with huge 2 errors. One gives up Odorizzi's unearned run, the other is the catalyst for a big inning at Arnett's expense. Prince continues to impress on all facets of the game.

You get very strong -- solid, consistent -- defense at SS, 20 to 25 jacks and 75 to 80 rbi per year. What the blazes does he need a pass for? We expecting triple crown winners at each position? The guy is a solid pro. When he's gone, then you'll finally realize how good is is(was).

The isolated incident was not using a masking agent and getting caught, not the act of blowing doob. He was not lying at all.

On the other hand.......Garfield has thrown out 2 would be base stealers. His first throw went into CF. But his next 2 were spot on.

How about Nick Tyson closing in Appleton? He seems to throw a lot of scoreless innings in the 6th and 7th inning.

5 for 5 anyone? I wondered why they might start out a HS catcher in Helena, but it just goes to show - hey what do I know?

Maybe Corporan is going to be a "Crash Davis" and help young pitchers like Jeffers. The only sense I can make of it.

Arias in Helena is cool....for now. Hope he does great. However, 4 college OF's drafted 1(A),5,7,8. Guessing here that some OF shake ups between coming between Maryvale, Helena and Appleton.

I used to work for a company HQ'd in Cleveland, so I would go to an Indian game almost every year. Least knowledgeable fans of any park I've ever been in. I once saw that stadium boo Omar Vizquel because he dared to make his one error for the year on that particular night.

Anyone noticed that Brent Brewer has been on fire this last week? Raised his average almost 30 points.

3 weeks ago we were all lauding Sveum as a great hitting coach, THE answer. Wow, we never had a great hitting coach like that before, this is great!!! NOW, team goes in a mini slump and now he's the wrong answer? Puuuuhh......lease! Complete over reaction on BOTH sides of the equation.

Great find. My favorite was the guy climbing the wall and the fly ball hitting 20 feet short of the fence.

No one has posted it on You Tube yet? Dang, I was going to make it my screen saver. I was watching the game, and I started howling so loud, they thought I was being attacked. The fan reaction, especially the close up of the one guy booing and waving his arms in disgust was priceless. After seeing that, I can now die a happy man.

Jacobbi McDaniel 6' 285lbs? I already love this guy. 33rd round pick. How deep will they sign this year?

All those peripheral #s mean little when you are rippin' up AAA at a .206 clip. You can keep dreaming about MLB playing time for this guy, but I just don't see anything to show me that he's more than 4A.

Wasn't Carl Hubbell "the Meal Ticket"?
  20. Boy Jeenius
We have people on this site with the MLB game experience, and with access to the scouting reports that they feel they can criticize Kendall's pitch calling? I knew this site was good, but wow, that is really good.

I have never thought this guy had a chance to be an MLB starter. I did not even include him on my list when we recently did the top 25 poll. He looked like a 4A guy to me from day 1. He was college player of the year and yet all of MLB thinks that that there are 91 better prospects to draft ahead of him? That sent off warning whistles to me right away. I truly hope I am wrong.

Mike Jones. Is our little lad finally growing up? Very nice outing thru 5.
  24. Boy Jeenius
Give Sveum credit, I'm OK with that. But it seems to me that the guys are just growing up and maturing as players more than anything. What is being taught and emphasized is exactly the same things that the previous coaches taught and emphasized when most of these guys were green as grass. Sveum gets credit for finding the right words that are staring to sink in.

Gamel with ANOTHER jack. My goodness the boy just rakes.
