  1. Is there a website that has lopez stats just a s a brewer? I dont know if there is a splits stats for just that.
  2. You know, after reading TH's latest post on Halladay and looking into what we need, i.e. Top end SP & a true Leadoff Hitter I was thinking the same as many of yall... the answer might not be trading Escobar at all. We could trade JJ, yes hes streaky, but he is almost always going to provide 20-25HR a season and good defense. Let alone he was a previous All-Star and young! Keeping Escobar in the #1 spot would give us a true leadoff hitter role we have been looking for. McGehee has come from nowhere and is showing he can hold his own at 2B defensivly ( average ), and all honestly should be in the everyday line up for the rest of the season. Councel could fill the 3B role if we give up Gamel in the deal as well. JJ, Gamel & PTBNL AAA for Halladay. I would go for it. 80% of the female brewer fans would be mad trading JJ, but I would rather trade JJ than Escobar.
  3. pretty good read... has nothing to do with the brewers, but a good read none the less http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2009/writers/joe_posnanski/05/20/jack.cust/index.html
  4. just checked, I can get the milwaukee feed, so switching over...
  5. nope, I still get blacked out for the "fox Sports" saturday games, and just like yall I cant get the milwaukee feed, so I am stuck with WGN.
  6. I you can watch the game on MLB.tv under the 'WGN' link..... I am watching it right now, not blacked out... then again I am in Alaska and I dont know if that matters http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  7. also, I dont know if it 'blackout restrictions' is based on billing information? or IP adress? I haven't lived in Milwaukee since they started MLB.tv so My billing address is always nowhere near Milwaukee. Dunno bud
  8. did you try to view it from the Giants carrier instead of milwaukee's? I have no problems viewing the game from MLB.tv Premium in Alaska on either giants or brewers stations
  9. FoxSportsLink just another report of 5yr/100M offer
  10. anyone able to summarize http://insider.espn.go.co...2fmlb%2ffeatures%2frumors I know you cant word for word it, but a summary would be nice. figured it belonged here since it is a rumor. thnx in advance. RP
  11. I was just curious, I know we have no leadoff type hitter, I was just curious on how he was handeling the #1 spot.
  12. Anyone have his stats handy since he became leadoff?
  13. 1) Roberts 2b ( Leadoff hitter w/ OBP .379 32SB & OPS .846 ) 2) Hardy 3b ( great #2 hitter ) 3) Braun LF ( Franchise man ) 4) Fielder 1B ( Ride the train until it stops at Boras town ) 5) Hart RF/CF ( Good insurance for Fielder to get pitches and clutch RISP hitter ) 6) Kapler CF/RF ( Yet another good plate discipline hitter ) 7) Escobar SS ( rookie spot #7 ) 8) Rivera C ( .317/.381/.837 from C spot, time to step up to everyday land ) 9) CC P ( yes, I said CC ) See how Gamel does at AAA/Sept call ups in 08.
  14. I know Kapps has played all 3 OF positions this year, and has average D, he almost always delivers with clutch hits when needed, and has 150% better plate discipline than Cameron. And is Cheap! save money, cut crap contracts i.e. cameron/gagme and sign CC http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif I like Kapps in 09 CF
  15. /vent on AAAHHH!!! Yost is killn me! guy on second, 2 outs, extra innings, Kendal is up to bat, and is 0-4. Riv should be in there in that situation. Villy is falling apart after 1 frickn inning ( which right there says hes not doing well today ), gives up a hit, a 4 ball walk, and yet he is still pitching?? with the CREW having a day off tomorrow? OMG put someone else in!! If we fall today I blame HORRIBLE coaching. that is all /vent off
  16. I almost threw up a little bit after reading that. /shakes away the bad thoughts. as onto the initial question, I think that we could put together a deal somehow for Cain. Cain/Yo/Par/Bush/FA ( not a McClunk fan ) sounds good to me.
  17. I am just a fan, nowhere near a manager type who thinks with the realities of money, contracts, etc..... just a fan who is sick of RW lack of production, the man has more excuses than a cheating husband! about the 3 swaps... Corey has good speed an could cover the CF, he might have to improve on his "back to the wall" Def as most CF's make plays like that than corner OF. Escobar could move to 2b if he puts his mind to it. I have seen quite a few MLB SS move to the left corner and still produce good D, not too many go to the other side of the diamond though, could be risky at first, but I think its possible and the Gammel to RF, I am probably wrong, but I thought he was skilled at 3B/Corner OF. oh well like I said, just a fan.
  18. http://www.flickr.com/photos/walterarce/2687075709/
  19. you can check Flickr.com, type in brewers CC or something like that
  20. I am sick and tired of people saying: He's expected... He's predicted to... He's got so much upside... Year 1: He's a rookie... ok, sure, given. Year 2: Sophmore slump... just another excuse for under producing. Year 3: AVG/OBP Production is horrible for his spot, but defense improved a bit. IMO three strikes ( which he seems to do alot ) and your out. Durahm is over the hill. I believe his perfomance since joining the Brewers is based off of adrenaline becuase he's actually on a team that gives a crap and has hopes for the post season. I would like to see Escobar move from SS to 2b and lead off in 09, trade Ricky for CASH & try to sign CC ( will be tough, but I think its doable ), Drop Camerons 10M option, Corey to CF, Gamel to RF, and Riverakendal catching duo 60/40. sorry, just pissed of all the let downs RW has given us over the past years...
  21. Ok, so since I am overseas I dont get to choose which FSN broadcast to watch, I get whatever the AFN gives us. So, I don't know if there was a FSN WI broadcast, I had to watch the Cardnals broadcast. THE BEST ... even BETTER than Braun hitting the homer in the 9th was that the Cardnals Broadcasters gave the STL Closer the "Player of the game" nom, and to quote them, " Were giving _____ the Player of the game right now, and forecasting a double play to end the inning." The VERY NEXT PITCH! Braun hit the homer..... I almost peed myself just listning to the scilence for a couple seconds of the broadcasters! HHAHAHAHA... anyways... Go Crew From Korea!
  22. cut the Salary of Gagne/Cameron/Mota .. thats 19M. Trade Hall (5M?) Supan (6+M?), & Weeks for cash/reliever. Re-sign Sheets & Sabathia ( even if its for 2-3yr ). Bring up Gamel & Escobar(sp?). Keep Fielder until he absolutly has to go... Sheets Sabathia Gallardo Parra Bush Escobar - 2b Hardy - ss Braun - lf Fielder - 1b Gamel - rf Branyon - 3b Hart - cf ( have him here only due to the R/L/R/L/R middle of the order ) kendal -c yes even though losing contracts of the above will net us prob 27+M to free up, if we can pull out just over 100M total its possible... hey its my dream team next year... lemme dream http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  23. in case it hasn't been posted yet. decent read. http://www.realgmbaseball.com/src_wiretap_archives/9636/20080313/2008_season_preview_milwaukee_brewers/ I didnt see it on the first 2 pages, so posting it here.
