  1. I put a picture of Brauny doing the airplane with his tongue out as my computer backdrop and I haven't changed it since the beginning of the streak... Keep it up Crew!
  2. I would take DeRosa over Bill Hall any day and twice on Sundays. The dude hits for a better average, has a better OBP and is a good glove. That saying, I don't think Melvin will make a trade to get him. If Gamel can play 3b, just move Hall and Counsel over to 2b and have Casey McGahee back up Gamel.
  3. Is Gamel able to lead off? With a bat like his, he's probably best suited for a lower in the line-up, but if he's everything a hitter that people are claiming he is, I would think he could do what Rickie was doing...plus he's got the added protection from Hardy, Braun and Fielder. Pretty Rickie's what they call him! Best Wishes 2-3. Speedy recover. This year is for Rickie! Let's go Crew!
  4. This is true that most of the promotions are in the beginning of the year. You all bring up good points..the main one being that it's different for those in the terrace levels which I am in. That makes sense. Free parking by the way is considered taking a free shuttle from one of our fine Bluemound establishments before and after the game. I'd recommend utilizing their services.
  5. I think they're doing a great job at selling the tickets evidenced by our 3.3% increase in ticket sales this year....but that doesn't mean that it's right that they're charging the ticket package holders more money than the single game ticket purchasers. We get the tickets are a somewhat discounted rate, but not to the point that the walk-ups can get them. I just feel that it's a shame that they do it this way. They may lose out on some season tix holders, and gain more walk-ups.
  6. I've been a loyal season ticket holder (9 game pack and 4 game packs) for 3 whole years now, and I know many of you have had yours for numerous times that...but I have a concern. I've noticed that the tickets that they give us for those packages are for the nights of 1/2 off tickets or buy one get one free, or even the 5 county 5 day celebration. It just seems like whenever I'm going to one of my season ticket games it's always (I use the term always lightly) on a night where I had to pay full price for the ticket plan while single tickets game purchasers are getting the sweet deal. I have a problem with this. Has anyone else noted this, and why are the Brewers treating us season ticket holders like this?
  7. I'm salavating over the thought of facing a lefty on Mother's Day. This could be a good day of baseball. Let's go Crew! Finish this!
  8. This Scherzer kid is throwing darts! Looks good enough to add to my fantasy team.
  9. Ken Macha after 4/29/09's Gallardo Beat Down.... "I'll be fast," Brewers manager Ken Macha joked afterward. "Hitting? Gallardo. Pitching? Gallardo. Any questions?" This is classic! Love it!
  10. I am so utterly disgusted! This game is straight up horrible. Julio needs to learn how to throw strikes. Swindle's in an unfortunate role of saving the game and chokes big time! I want to say so much more but I'm afraid of getting booted from this site...so I'll just stop by saying...Just Disgusting!
  11. ok Braun! That's how it's done! Patience at the plate and know that Moyer's going to throw it right down the middle...wait for your pitch!
  12. back to back backward K's! Seriously? We're talking Moyer here!
  13. I believe I remember reading something earlier this spring training from Macha saying something to the fact that he's a believer in getting his starting pitcher out of the game by the 7th if he has a lead...also if the SP isn't at his max pitch count. I don't have a source for this comment, but I'm positive I heard Macha in an interview say this. My question to this is...Leaving Soup in to start the 7th goes against what his beliefs were. Does anyone else remember Macha saying this. On a positive...I didn't trust any other pitcher in our BP to finish that game...looks like Macha didn't either. I like that he stayed with Coffee. Very much so.
  14. 2 lefties in our BP! That's what my spring training wish was and now I get it. This is a good day...at the same time, hoping that Riske figures it out and comes back with more strength and confidence.
  15. What about Braun? I think he hit the snooze button a couple too many times this spring by getting injured, but he needs to wake up too. We need his bat in a major way.
  16. I cringe saying this, but Riske has the same effect on me when I used to get when Wise was coming into the game. Melvin's gotta man up and realize all his moves can't be gems and get Riske out of there. Get him in the minors so he can get his confidence back.
  17. Wow, I'm very impressed with the baserunning from the giants...I was hoping for a DP on that beautiful catch by Hart.
  18. ok Supp, it's your turn now. Let's show em how it's done!
  19. I like how FSN aired the Brewers line-up announcement via John Miller but cut to commercial for the Giant's line-up. It's game time! Go BREWERS! It's time to surprise!
  20. Ok...I haven't seen a thread about his production as of yet...but come on! He's makin multi millions and so far he hasn't earned $100 of his contract. Yes, I know that spring training, pitchers are supposed to work on their pitches, but at this point in the season, I was kind of hoping for more out of Melvin's prize relief pick up from last year... So far this spring, he has shown nothing to make me feel comfortable with him coming into games. I actually feel as nervous with him coming into the game than I did with Tblow. Maybe I'm missing something, but nothing has been said about Riske up until now....and I am formally putting him to the task... For the amount of money he's earning, he's gotta show me more than he has so far. He had a full offseason to heal up and so far he has shown nothing... Seriously, without looking up the data, I feel he has failded to get out of an inning w/out allowing a run... Don't know about you all................. but I'm a bit worried about Riske! Your thoughts? Addendum: At this point, I'd rather have Swindle and have 2 lefties rather than worry about Riske. (edit: more explicative title; combined consecutive posts --1992)
  21. That's truely impressive. Way to go Brewers fans!!! Let's go Mark A. Get a new TV deal and become one of the big boys!
  22. Even Macha in his interview said that Braun wasn't feeling to positive about the hand injury. In one aspect, it's nice to have a manager not afraid to tell you how it is (Yost) but in another, it's not a real good sign for #8. Crossin my fingers in hope for a healthy Brauny.
  23. interesting seeing TBlow in a different uniform. Way to get that insurance Rivera!
