  1. why isn't Cameron bunting Yost is an idiot once again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  2. Hey! At a boy Rickie! Nice play buddy!
  3. jeffreyscott, I think RU said it best. MLB and the players union would rather see the DH in both leagues as well....more money all around, plus, chicks dig the long ball--not the bunt.
  4. very good point Kram. There are many variables involved.
  5. Don't think it's going to happen tomorrow...if anything, it happens after a losing road swing. Don't think Maddux and Skaalan will leave with him, but I do think Krembles's bags are half way packed and he's just waiting for the call. So much for our pitching. So much for our health. So much for our hitting (however, I do see our hitting getting better). So much for a consistent fun baseball for the fans to watch day in and day out. So much for...ah, screw it!
  6. Ennder, I completely agree. As much as I love watching the strategy and moves during a NL game....the two leagues will never be even (as seen in the last numerous years of the AL domination over NL in interleague). I would prefer that MLB change and have the DH in both leagues. I would like to assume that the fans of the NL would eventually come to accept and cheer the DH if not given a choice. Competition between teams would be fiece and even. Anyone would be able to win (assuming certain owners spend their money). Start a new era.
  7. WEEEEEEEEEKS!!!!!!!! Wow. Oh, how sweet it is to see a number other than 0 on the scoreboard. Let's keep this up!!
  8. That's 20 straight scoreless innings....Anyone know what the record is? I would imagine we're not even close.... Skaalan is doing such a wonderful job at educating our squad. I just love going for record breakers.
  9. 123...123...123 Seeing a pattern here?
  10. ToLiveBrew: I wish I had actual data to back up my statement that the P in the 8th spot isn't working, but I don't.....it's just an overall opinion that I've had over the last month that there's been may more occurances that the 8th spot is up w/RBI situation written all over it, and just thinking to myself, "man, I wish we had Kendell up right now." It was a decent trial, I just don't feel it necessary to continue....I hope to gather some actual data in the upcoming days.
  11. A line-up shake up is in order...here's my ideal line-up. Hart Braun Fielder Cameron Hall Weeks Hardy Kendell P Enough of this Pitcher in the 8th spot....It's not working. Hart is a great option as lead off and Braun and Fielder in every first inning is ideal. Cameron is good protection for Fielder... Having Weeks Hardy and Kendell in the bottom of the line-up can also generate some RBI opp's for Hart and Braun.
  12. Ok...maybe I was wrong about Stetter. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  13. Nor am I...so let's go Crew!! EDIT: Seriously, stop with the huge nested quotes. - b19
  14. Time for Braun to steal a bag here.....isn't that what Yost said he wanted more out of Braun this year?
  15. You're making the same point multiple times without furthering it or listening to the logic of the counter-arguments. Saying that he blew it over and over again doesn't make your point any more valid. I've countered everything that's been brought to me...maybe not as eloquently as some, but I have refuted all statements about our offense and the role of the closer....
  16. Ok...a left hander...let's rock this guy.
  17. I'm not gonna disagree with you, but where were you from the 4th to the 9th inning when we were failing to do anything offensively? I agree that Gagne needs to step it up, but so does this entire baseball team right now, outside of Ben Sheets. And even Ben gave up 4 runs in under 7 innings today. I didn't start posting till Gagne upset me so much....this was a W and he blew it...Yes, the ump's squeezed him, but he still couldn't get out of it. Sheets should be 5-0.
  18. Come on D...let's get it to the 12th.
  19. Putting all our losses on Gagne is as far-fetched as putting them all on Yost. Should he be doing better? Absolutely. But we also knew coming in that he wasn't going to be perfect and that we'd be giving up some runs out of the bullpen. The assumption was that our offense was going to be so prolific that we would have a few runs to give. Our offense has made it such that our pitchers have had to be perfect at every outing and that's just not feasible. I'm just saying the blame goes all around. That's besides the point....He's blown 5 (without going into extra innings) wins for us. Period. It has nothing to do with our offense. How can it be beside the point when it's exactly my point. When we added him we KNEW he'd give up runs. Our offense was supposed to cover his butt so that it didn't matter. Oh poor Gagne....We're SOOOOOOOO sorry we haven't been giving you at least three runs to record your easy save. How sad. Boo whooo for Gagne. STEP IT UP!!!!
  20. Mota, Riske or Stetter would be Just fine with me. You have not seen enough games this season. Mota maybe. But Riske is really shaky and Stetter has only been here for a quick bit. After he gives up his first run alot of opinions will change on him as well. But he is surely not our closer. That is just being said in anger for this game. I've watched every game so far. I would feel good assuming that the majority of us don't feel as "nervous" when those pitchers come in. For the most part, they are all looking better than Gagne....Even Riske who had his shakes earlier.

  22. I'd even be interested in seeing how Pena handles the closer's role.
