  1. I'm hoping for at least 7 good innings from Benny today. With Zito on the mound I don't see the Brewers finishing south of 5 runs. Derflotr: I sure hope so...so far, our SP's haven't gone far into the games leading our RP's extra innings of work...We need our SP's to get into the 7th inning consistently so we don't see our RP's fall off towards the end of the season again like last year.
  2. Tomorrow's game is a game that the Crew needs to win to get that swagger of beating teams they know they're better than. If our defense plays better than it did today, I feel this should be an easy game for the Crew.
  3. Bush is going to be just fine....you just wait and see.
  4. I'm not saying 'everyone' on this board by any means, BUT.... if we were 0-2, I highly believe that many of our posters would be freakin out just as much. This is OUR year!!! Go Brewers!!!
  5. Pro's: 2-0. Series win. Kendell w/an infield single. Riske looking dominant. Defense = 0 E's. Weeks w/some power. Bench hitters coming through again. Kendell w/a bat. Brauny is RBI man in 4 hole. Steals, steals and more steals....gotta love it. Soup is Mmm Mmm Good. Con's: Not seeing T-Bow in the 9th. Not seeing any RP's warming up in the 7th when Torress was in a jam (Yost needs to at least have someone up there warming up in case it goes bad...didn't he learn that from last year?) Last but not least...I was at work and not at the game. Pro: 2 more days till Opening Day!!!!
  6. It was just a matter of time before C-man got a gig in the media. I always loved listening to him on the D-List. Good speaker, very personable...he should fit in quite nicely. Way to go C-man!!! Welcome Home.
  7. I'd rather have the division, but I'll take the wild card.... This is OUR year!!! Go Brewers!!!
  8. Tomorrow, tomorrow...I love you...tomorrow...it's only a day away! I truely apologize for the Annie reference, but can I get a What What!!!!! It's baseball time. This is OUR year!!! Go Brewers!!!
  9. finally!!!!!!!!!! See ya all on opening day!!!
  10. my last name starts with a "C' and I have yet to receive mine....http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/mad.gifhttp://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/mad.gifhttp://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/mad.gifhttp://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/mad.gifhttp://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/mad.gifhttp://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/mad.gif
  11. this really isn't helping our situation out for trading for prospects...but it is quite nice to have this depth. I would rather have: Sheets, Suppon Parra, Villanueva, Vargas w/Bush in the Pen. Carlos has definitely earned a SP role.
  12. good to know Klements....hopefully mine will be coming w/in next two days. I'm going on vacation on Friday, so I'm hoping to have them before I leave.
  13. I still haven't gotten my 9 pack. I'm getting frustrated...just want to have them in hand and see my opening day tix. Has anyone gotten there's yet...it's 3/17/08.
  14. The 6 hole is perfect for Hall. If (and I'm sick of saying "if") Hall's bat comes back to life this year, I can definitely see 28-35 HR's from him in the 6 hole.
  15. you said it bbeahman... Time is running out.... I am now officially on the Manny Parra bandwagon. We need a lefty in the starting five, and I was hoping it was going to be Cappy. Who knows, I'm still routing for him, but I still want to win and why not put your studs in. Parra is a flat out stud.
  16. Cappy was in an interview earlier this week saying that this week was the time that the P's should really start bringing there A game if they want to earn a starting spot. (saw on the TimeWarner Roundtable w/Krause).... Hmmmm, Cappy, you didn't head your own warning....start packing your bags for Triple A...C Ya!
  17. I'm sure Prince was upset with not getting $900,000 this year, but I doubt that he was as upset as he made himself seem when quoted in the paper. My guess is that Boras told him to act all upset so that he has an argument in his favor for the abritration hearing next year. I'm going out on a limb and suggesting that Howard's agent told him to do the same thing two years ago when Howard came up crying about his renewal contract. Fielder is just playing the game y'all....and we and the media have been suckered into it.
  18. On a recent JSOnline article, it had stated that Yost is leaning towards Gwynn due to his defense. My thoughts are that due to the amount of Unbelievable offense we have, Yost is going to go with a sure thing in CF--meaning defense. Gywnn has the leg up against righties and Kapler is looking at the front runner for lefties. This is an excerpt from the Tom Haudricourt 3/5/08 article on JSOnline.... "We have left-right options and we'll use that to our advantage," Yost said. With a focus on defense this spring, Yost indicated that Gwynn and Kapler might have a leg up on Gross. I like it...Obviously if you give Gross some everyday experience...he's shown that he can produce offensively. Plus, he's not that bad of a defender. Gwynn however, is a stud out in CF and I truely believe that's more important in the first 25 games.
  19. "Rickie is probably the only 2B in MLB at this point that is capable of giving Utley a run for the money in terms of offensive output." ToliveBrew: I'm sorry but I'd have to put Brandon Phillips in that category as well. Last year, Phillips had: .288/.331/.485 I know Utley's number's are just sick (.332/.410/.566), but I'd put Phillips and Rickie in the same category nontheless.
  20. Dear God. Please keep our Ace healthy this year. We promise to be patient with Ned Yost if you keep Benny Sheets healthy this year and limit the freak injuries (and major injuries) to ZERO. In your name, I pray. Amen. This is OUR year!!! Go Brewers!!!!
  21. Oh how good it's going to feel to throw a beat down on those sCrUBs! This is OUR year!!! Go Brewers!!!
  22. But again, the second year would have been at 6 million dollars. If you're banking on him having a good enough season to justify the 10 million, then wouldn't another at just 6 be a better risk? Plus...giving him a one year deal forces Gagne to continue to pitch for his life. If he wants another huge payday, then watch out NL.

  24. Tisko...thanks.
