  1. If anyone can help me unlock the mystery of how to see an azl brewer game, that'd be awesome. I drove there today, from tempe, got there right at 10:30, but didn't see anything baseball related going on. Deeply saddened.
  2. His first game is tomorrow. I couldn't find him on the AZL roster. He's there, right?
  3. I'm in Arizona, and I hear these shirts are floating around the Milwaukee area. Need one. Can anyone hook up a Brewer fan from Arizona?
  4. I don't want to be the one to tell him.. but it looks like nobody has told Jon Lucroy that Brevard County and the FSL drops your power numbers, and that homers are supposed to be hard to come by. Thats 2 in 5 games now? Atta Boy Lucroy! Sweet lookin line out of Jeffress too. Nice.
  5. here's the bat. It's a Louisville slugger, not game used, stained blue by yours truly. It's a good looking bat, but I was hoping to bring my silver sharpie that day. http://i39.photobucket.com/albums/e196/Kevbo74/autobrewerbat.jpg Update: I traded the Villanueva ss, everything else (except the Braun) is available still. Gorman Thomas might be spoken for, waiting for response.
  6. This is cheaper, especially if you buy cases, and bulk cases. andersonkpt.com/
  7. some additions I found - I have a bat signed by Yost, Hart, Hardy and Gwynn Jr. It's not game used, its just a blue bat. I couldn't find my silver paint pen that day, so all the sigs are in black sharpie. I've started a replacement bat that I'm working on with silver autos, so I can let this bat go for not much over shipping costs. I also have a double of a helmet signed by mike cameron in silver pen. (its one of those sundae helmets you get at the park, not a real helmet or mini helmet. Here's some more pics. http://i39.photobucket.com/albums/e196/Kevbo74/misc/ABGorman.jpghttp://i39.photobucket.com/albums/e196/Kevbo74/misc/ABPrince.jpghttp://i39.photobucket.com/albums/e196/Kevbo74/misc/ABWeeks.jpg http://i39.photobucket.com/albums/e196/Kevbo74/misc/ABVilly.jpghttp://i39.photobucket.com/albums/e196/Kevbo74/misc/ABCameron.jpg http://i39.photobucket.com/albums/e196/Kevbo74/misc/ABDougM.jpghttp://i39.photobucket.com/albums/e196/Kevbo74/misc/ABDMYostMadJones.jpghttp://i39.photobucket.com/albums/e196/Kevbo74/misc/ABJenkinsHart.jpg http://i39.photobucket.com/albums/e196/Kevbo74/misc/ABSheetsBush.jpghttp://i39.photobucket.com/albums/e196/Kevbo74/misc/ABEstradaWise.jpghttp://i39.photobucket.com/albums/e196/Kevbo74/misc/ABZackVilly.jpg I didnt take a picture of the bat, but if anyone is interested, I can. E-mails have been responded to. Thanks.
  8. wow. I guess that's good and bad. Bad, because I hate it when players do that. Reminds of the Jerry McGuire moment where some guy "couldn't sign this specific brand of sportscard". Good, because I got a couple. I seen some Mikita balls for sale, Black balls with paint pen auto. They do have balls signed the normal way, right? I'm sure they do.. didnt like those black ones though. I think Benny Sheets has some kinda deal like that too. He didn't sign my sweetspot. (Gave Dave Bush a great opportunity to run his sig right into sheets') Also, among the guys other than Uecker I'd like that I don't have: Billy Hall, Don Sutton, Rob Deer, Teddy Higuera, \
  9. I have a couple on the sweetspot, one, when he went 4-5, 2 homers, a double, and 7rbi. He's always a cool signer. does he not sweetspot anymore? I thought he just wouldnt sign ROY or any inscriptions.
  10. I have a few auto'd baseballs that I'd like to see if I can trade for some I don't have, or can replace. Namely, Bob Uecker. I got these signed this year and last year at spring training, but never came across Ueck. 1. Prince Fielder (sweetspot) 2. Rickie Weeks (sweetspot) 4. Gorman Thomas (sweetspot) 5. Carlos Villanueva (sweetspot) 6. (combo) Ben Sheets, Dave Bush, Zack Jackson, Carlos Villanueva, Johnny Estrada, Matt Wise (sweetspot open) 7. (combo) Doug Melvin sweetspot, Ned Yost, Mike Maddux, Geoff Jenkins, Mike Jones, Corey Hart. I have pictures. Let me know!
  11. I can't say what the Brewers actual plans are, but Lucroy was a college catcher, as opposed to Salome being a high school guy, so I'd have to figure he'd progress faster. Salome is a week older than Lucroy, too. Not that that matters, but it's kinda neat. (Salome 6/8/86, Lucroy 6/13/86) I'd like to think they are on the same level, even being at different levels. I'd expect to see Lucroy go to Brevard this year though. I will, however, miss the Jack Jackety Jacks. Not just from hearing it from the announcer, but because Brevard tends to keep them in the park. :-) It could be a pretty close, interesting race to see who could be our homegrown catcher. I like em both
  12. Admittedly, I didnt pay alot of attention to him last year, until the Hawaiian League. I was impressed with his numbers everywhere though. In exhibition play this year, I forget how many, but I think he hit 3 dingers, with 2 in one game, and was looking real good. Starting off the year with some doubles in West Virginia, and pretty much staying above .300 was making me happy, and now he's hit 3 homers in, what, a week? A little over? But what I don't know is his defense. When I listen to Power games, which is becoming more frequent, I don't notice anyone stealing, and I don't notice any pass balls or anything. Should I be thinking that it's Possible for him to be the man? Are there any reasons I shouldn't be thinking that?
  13. now THIS is some West Virginia baseball I can Really get used to listening to! Great game on both sides of the ball. Jon Lucroy is going to have 2x the doubles Mat Gamel had last year! Speaking of Gamel, Alcides Escobar has more RBIs than he does? I wouldn't have bet on that one before the season.. but I liked how he drove the ball in spring. oh yeah, pretty good game there Narron, sorry I missed it.
  14. Will west virginia have a regular at first base this year? I don't know much about any of them that have played thus far, but I was getting good vibes from Alonso. Also, how come I've never heard of Ulrich Snijders? Does he only catch or will we see him at 1st base too? Without him, the power would have been shut out. Despite my guy Lucroy getting it together, I'd like to see some more of him too. Never heard of him until today though.
  15. And That, thanks for putting your cap on. No need to wait until the 10th inning in the future though... We all had ours on, but now we know it's yours that does the trick. I'd imagine that the decision is pretty much made on who goes to the pen (bush) unless some terrible breakdown occurs elsewhere. I don't think it's bad to KINDA SORTA hope he's a bit lackluster to cement that decision. At least there would be some early closure on the matter, and if it takes that one loss to make the point clear, then so be it, it helps win more games later on, instead of giving chance after chance trying to make a more scrutinized decision. I'm not completely in the Dave Bush Anti-Fan Club, though. I think he'll be a solid reliever, and an important part of future wins. He'll lead the league in 2 inning wins, mark my words!
  16. I brought the wrong camera with me, and had to leave early (kids), but I got some shots of a nice LaPorta strikeout. Thought I'd share, and sorry I didn't get any better ones, but I promise to work on that. http://i39.photobucket.com/albums/e196/Kevbo74/aflLaPorta.jpg http://i39.photobucket.com/albums/e196/Kevbo74/AflLaPorta2.jpg http://i39.photobucket.com/albums/e196/Kevbo74/AflLaPorta3.jpg http://i39.photobucket.com/albums/e196/Kevbo74/aflLaPorta4.jpg
  17. sheesh, where did this Matsuzaki come from with this? previously he's had 9 strikeouts in 3 games, but now when he plays against North Shore he throws 10 K's in 5 innings? No hitter got knocked out (after striking out Mat for the second time.) does anyone stay up for this?
  18. LuCroy and Salome in Brevard? Nice. I think Mat Gamel's bat is too big for this league. Someone tell him to ease up, and focus on D. Anyone think he'll have a start in LF?
  19. I'm sure his main focus in Hawaii is to work on those errors, but it's still going to be fun watching him smack the ball around for a while. Last night's 0-2 came with 2 decently hit fly outs, and so far, just one strikeout. Gamel and Errecart in the home run race... who ya got??
  20. Earlier this week, I was talking about how comfortable it was watching a game depending on who was pitching. The only pitchers I was really comfortable watching was Ben Sheets and Yovani Gallardo. Now it's just Yovani Gallardo. But even that's starting to put me on edge when I contemplate how hard he might be getting pressed as the innings go flying by. Afterthought: I can watch Villanueva with some peace of mind. Everyone else freaks me out. Unfortanely, I don't see him or Yo pitching a complete game, so my nerves will officially be shot for every remaining game. I close the game on mlbtv.com now whenever Turnbow comes in. I can't watch anymore, I just check the final score later on. Great that there is a vent thread, as no one in my house wants to hear it anymore.
  21. Braddock, Rogers and Jeffress in Brevard next year. The thought makes me warm and fuzzy. I'm liking Jeffress's improvements, was hoping to see the walks stay at 1,2, or 3, but I'll take a one hitter with 8 Ks and 4BB I suppose. Speaking of Rogers, didn't I read somewhere that he was going to throw (off a mound) this fall or something? Would like to hear more about that... Rogers could come back and make us not miss Inman :-) now that's warm and fuzzy.
  22. We will never forget the Ryan Braun Watch. I stopped listening to WV after 4. I'm hoping Jeffress was pulled due solely to pitch count.... if so, I like his improvements. Last time Jeffress walked more than 3 was July 17 (6 BB in 6.2 IP) since then: 7/22 - 3 7/27 - 3 8/1 - 0 8/6 - 2 8/11 - 0 in those 5 games, 25.1 IP, 20 H. 12 ER, 8 BB, 28 K, ERA 4.30
  23. Mat Gamel has doubled his season home run total in ONE WEEK. I knew it was coming.. good to see. EDIT>> spoke too soon, it should read... More than doubled.... hit 2! even sweeter that it came against those stinking yankees!
  24. I'll never ever ever ever talk about jeffress before the 6th. tell him I'm sorry if you see him http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/embarassed.gif
