  1. Sergio Miranda did me in. Topped out at 15 this time around. I'm going to ride Lorenzo for a while this time and see if I can get 16 by the end of June. Jealous of those few guys with 20something. That seems to be a tough mark to hit.
  2. Thanks BrewCrew. There's a fair amount of double scanning in there, example: it might look like I have like 10 blue Gallardo refractors, I only really have 4, and 3 are signed so they almost don't count. Also, I had to sell that 07 BDP Patch set I was working on when I got shot (long story) That set would have been sweet framed up in my office. In fact, one of the last cards I needed was a Joba Yankees patch, and I just seen one sell in the last few weeks for cheap! It kills me sometime to think about it, and I just can't bring myself to delete them from my bucket. rwa12 - I do mostly prospects, and would be interested in some nice Odorizzi stuff. Also, I have very little oddball brewer collectibles. I live in Phoenix, and while it's great for Spring Training and Arizona Fall League ball, there's not a lot of Brewer stuff around these parts. I don't collect bobbles, but I'd be interested in plenty of stuff I see around here. Also, I've been pining for a Uecker autograph forever, and never got one. Let me know what you have for Odorizzi rwa...
  3. Kinda jealous of you guys who get to watch the Rattlers on TV. Nice night to be viewing. 14-0 so far, 7 innings of 1 hit ball by Bucci.... Listening just isn't the same when you know people are watching on TV. At least my Streak is up to 4 now :-) I'll be there next Monday though :-) Front Row Rattlers Dugout!
  4. I don't know how to post a picture here, but here's a link to my photobucket: http://s39.photobucket.com/home/Kevbo74/allalbums I just got that Yount dual patch auto in from Upper Deck today. I don't really collect Yount, so it's available.I have a bunch of Prospects also, Fielders, Gallardo.... Just wondering who else collects/trades baseball cards around here.
  5. Since Upper Deck lost their baseball license, topps has rights to all things baseball. USA used to just be an Upper Deck thing, but now that Topps can do it, may as well include them. Lawrie has those Razor cards. I'm not a fan. He has Topps Debut stuff too. I don't know why they passed him up, being a Futures Game guy, they can make more of his cards. There's a lot of great looking patches for other Futures guys in the Topps Debut sets, including logomans and Futures patch foldouts numbered 1/1. Many guys have logo patches in the set numbered to 5, but Lawrie just has the Jersey numbered /139 and /25. I have the 01/25 http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif I'd imagine he'll be in a bowman set this year. Other razor exclusives are making their way into Topps sets. I'll be all over his chromes whenever they come out.
  6. 4 chrome, 5 base, 2 Top100, 2 expectations for Strasburg. No autos unfortunately. My best auto was a Heyward refractor. Got a red refractor of Rashun Dixon /5. The chromes are nice looking (when they're centered) 60 of my chromes are cut really bad. Zero Bryce Harpers! dang.
  7. I just got 3 jumbo and 3 regular boxes. Nothing Huge, but a fun break. Not a great release for Brewers, only Evan Anundsen. Unless you count Eric Farris. Weird. He had a card in 2009 bowman chrome, and this 2010 one also indicates "first bowman chrome card". It makes me wonder what Topps is doing with Brett Lawrie. He doesn't have a triple jersey /99 in this release like 37 other Futures Gamers do, and in the Topps Pro Debut set, he wasn't included among the logo patches, just the jersey/139's. 2009 elite is much better for chasing Brewers Prospects :-). I have a half case (10 boxes) incoming.
  8. That's awesome. I don't suppose you have any info on how I could also obtain one? I've got many many of those 2010 Topps cards (in many different variations/parallels) but I have yet to find THAT.
  9. I thought that was odd too. Odder yet, LHP Braddock hasn't given up a hit to a left handed hitter this year (6ip) and RHP Chris Smith hasn't given up a hit to a righty (5ip) - so I thought maybe a right handed batter was PHing, but it was lefty, wonder why it wasn't Braddock's guy. I didn't quite notice Smith's numbers this year: 10 games, 8.1 IP, 9 saves, and except for one inning, pretty much lights out. (1.08 era). However, still I'd like to see Zach get more than one save. This wasn't the first time Smith came in to pitch to one guy either. I discuss Braddock the Reliever vs. Braddock the Starter with a Brewer fan here at work (Phoenix) extensively, and I still don't have much to add to this thread. Or maybe I do, but it would be far too long, and still wouldn't have a solid platform. Something I wasn't aware of, is this correct? Zach has one plate appearance in his career? PA 1 AB 1 R 1 H 1 HR 1 RBI 4 AVG 1.000 SLG 4.000 OPS 5.000 !
  10. Enduring a Huntsville Stars game that starts off with Mark Rogers leaving before 3 innings, with 10 opposing runs on the board is tough to listen to. What's tougher is when the guy you thought you picked for the Beat the Streak gets a double, and then you find out you didn't pick that guy today - it was yesterday. The toughest part of all though, is listening to today's pick, Taylor Green, go 0-4 against pitchers you previously hadn't known or had respect for - thus ending my streak at 14. Highlight though - Chuck Caufield can pitch! Rest easy BFnetters, it'll be a while until I'm a threat again. But be wary - I plan to be a threat again one day. (sigh)
  11. Someone get the radar gun- Chuckie Caufield is pitching! (yes, I'm still listening to this game) pretty good inning, too.
  12. oh yeah, it's on!I'm trying, and I mean TRYING, not to pick Lucroy every day. That just wouldn't be fair.Remember this stuff from last summer?http://i39.photobucket.co...bo74/Lucroyhitstreak.jpg(sorry I made it a picture link)Of course, now that I've been outted and officially jinxed, good luck everyone!!
  13. Odorizzi was warming up, but now Robinson's on the mound? Hope nothing got tweaked - I'd like to think they're just saving him so he can pitch 5 innings next game. (can't spell) There he is.. :-) feels like I've been waiting far too long for this one
  14. anyone else watching the game? I'm watching it with my dad and he truly thinks Suppan threw that ball away because he figured they were going to score anyway and didn't want it to count against his era! Funny, but wow, almost makes sense don't it? Crazy throw. That wouldn't count against his era? Not sure.
  15. awesome, feed's up on mlb.com too. Totally makes my day.
  16. Lucky Milwaukeeans... I have to listen to the MLB broadcast, which is NOT Bob Uecker. I woke up today looking forward to hearing him. Denied. What a drag. It'll work. Still has that "it's baseball season" feeling. Prince Fielder got beaned!!!
  17. I had plans to head out to Maryvale today, but it's rainy again. Been a pretty rainy winter so far - hopefully it all clear up soon. I have some pictures from last year's spring, if anyone's jonesin' for some pics - http://s1020.photobucket.com/home/zonabrew Mostly at the minor's fields. I have this on my itinerary so far... probably adding a few if I get some days off. 3/4 @ SF - scottsdale 3/7 vs Reds - maryvale 3/8 vs Sea, maryvale 3/14 @ SF - scottsdale 3/15 vs Cle, maryvale 3/21 vs CWS - maryvale 3/22 vs LAD - maryvale 3/28 (just at maryvale while the crew visits the Dbacks) 3/29 vs SF - maryvale Can't wait. It's my favorite time of the year.
  18. It's starting to be that I'm saddened when Lucroy DOESN'T hit a double. He's hit for extra bases in 14 of his last 16 games. 22 games now, but by all means milb.com, give Domonic Brown an article for hitting extending his streak to SIX.
  19. It's up! Checking every half hour or so really does pay off.
  20. Lucroy's hit streak extends to 17 games with yet another double. What's really cool is that in he's hit extra bases in his last 9 consecutive, and I think 10 in his last 11 (not sure). Slow start officially forgiven! *going to have to get a new avatar :-)
  21. 16 game hit streak for Lucroy and he hit doubles in his last 5 games. Awesome. 7 doubles in the last 10 days. awesome.
  22. Thanks Haas. Not necessarily bad news. Also makes it a bit more interesting on guessing who will be on the rosters, with the rule being tweaked to allow 2 A ball players per team. I already can't wait to get my season pass. :-)
  23. Seems like there isn't much time to figure it out if they haven't done so by now. The last I heard was that the Hawaiian League was moving into Phoenix along with the Arizona Fall League . (Great for me, because I live in Phoenix) But I haven't heard anything concrete. No details. Not even IF there will be an equivalent to the Hawaiian Winter League. Hopefully I just missed any announcements. Anyone here know anything? Also - What Brewers would it be fantastic to see? I wouldn't mind seeing Cain and Green back again to make up some time - and Rogers and Braddock would be awesome.
  24. Agent wrote: "Taylor Green is massively ahead of schedule and hopefully will be back by the end of the month or early may at worst." are we still looking for Green to be coming back pretty darn soon? (not that Huntsville actually plays any games)
