  1. does anyone know how to mask your IP address to make it look like its coming from somewhere else?
  2. Octavio Dotel anyone? I don't know his contract situation, but the Royals will surely be willing to give him up. Maybe a high level prospect with a low ceiling like Zach Jackson?
  3. Since I live in the area, it says that Brewers games are subject to blackout on MLB.TV. I was thinking about buying it so I could watch the Brewers games that were not being televised already. I thought maybe they only black out games that are being televised in the area already, but does anyone know for sure?
  4. While it would never hurt to pick up another bat, I think that is not the glaring problem right now. The bullpen desperately needs another power arm, to pitch the 7th or 8th. We have above average production I would say at just about every position. I haven't looked up the stats though, so if anyone has fill me in...
  5. How much do you think it would cost to pick up octavio dotel, he looked real good today. I know he must be over 30, but i'm not sure of his contract situation. Maybe Zach Jackson for Octavio Dotel? A cellar dwelling team like the Royals really would benefit more from trading their closer than using him.
  6. See Francisco Liriano.
  7. It's still early with Braun, in the minors (at least this year) he didn't do much of either (walks or K's) but actually had less K's than walks. I think the lack of walks can be attributed to Prince hitting behind him, so pitchers have to be agressive with him. And like I said, it's still early, Prince himself was 0 for his first 11 with 7 K's last year...
  8. Paddled, I would think Hall strikes out too much to bat in the #2 spot.
  9. I agree, no way we can afford to trade away bullpen depth right now. And I know it's just spring training, but Turnbow's sparkling 0.00 ERA looks good right now. But that can be misleading, has anyone actually seen him pitch yet, and if so how'd he look?
  10. Is there any way we could get major league talent for those two? I would think the Padres taking on Clark's contract would be enough.
  11. I know it's just spring training, and I shouldn't be putting any stock into it, but Capellan is getting shelled and it's starting to worry me.
  12. I don't know if the Brewers are getting fair value for Mench in that deal. He only had one half of a poor season, otherwise he is a VERY solid outfielder. When he was initially traded, there was talk of him being a 30 - 40 HR type guy. If that's all we can get for Mench, I say better to keep him on the chance he comes back this year than trade him off for a situational lefty.
  13. But the feeling I'm getting from Yost is that he would much rather give Braun some seasoning in the minors and let Grafannino play 3rd. I'm on the fence as to whether I want Braun up right away, if he is as defensively challenged as advertised, an infield consisting of Weeks, Fielder, and Braun is good for an error a game.
  14. Personally, I think the best possible situation would be a platoon, which would form a pretty descent number 5 or 6 hitter. But if both Jenkins and Mench are going to force the team to make a move (which it seems they're doing by both of their apparent unwillingness to platoon) than I would do Linebrink in a heartbeat. Unfortunately the Padres have been very reluctant to give up Linebrink and seem to rather keep him than trade him for under market value.
  15. BJ Upton is generally considered a project. He has obvious talent, but it is still a work in progress. He would not be of much help to the Brewers this year unless they did decide to try and move him to the outfield. Third base is going to be kept warm by whoever until Braun is ready. Plus I don't see the D-Rays doing this for just Turnbow.
  16. While I would be ecstatic if that trade were to go down. Jenkins isn't worth one of those guys.
  17. There is no way Hendrickson would pass through waivers. There will always be teams willing to give "4A" guys like that a shot.
