  1. I am holding out hope the Tigers cut K-Rod in Spring Training and the Brewers sign him. And then trade him a third time.
  2. I don't understand why owners with a combined net worth of $3 billion are pushing for public funding other than to save money. The fear mongering and scare tactics are absurd. Government brought this on itself by getting into bed to fund businesses in the past. I am a Bucks fan and want them to stay but this is not in the purview of what government should be concerning themselves with.
  3. I have been supporting Newcastle for the last 6 years or so and they are never short on drama. Very loyal and passionate fan base that hasn't won much but has the third largest stadium in the league. They are enjoyable to me because they are in the second tier of teams where you expect them to be above average every year but when they do make a European tournament it actually feels like an accomplishment.
  4. Pitch was too small for my liking but still great to see top tier professional action. Too bad the referee wasn't top notch as well....
  5. I was in my dining room playing with matchbox cars on the floor and wondering why it was still light out on TV when it was dark at home.
  6. The worst part about this loss will be in a few years when this Final Four is vacated due to Kentucky recruiting violations.
  7. After Brust hit the 4 FTs, all I wanted was for the Badgers to win by 4. What was McCaferty thinking? His hissy fit completely gave the momentum to Wisconsin and lost his team the game. Unbelievable.
  8. There are plenty of streaming options available for every game. Usually if you Google "Team A vs. Team B live free stream" you will find some sites. Eventually you find a reliable site or two and can check there every match day.
  9. Roma is still undefeated, they beat Sampdoria 2-0. And today is Francesco Totti's 37th birthday. No Totti No Party
  10. I think ManUre got a tougher draw than it would appear. Shaktar made the round of 16 last year and Leverkusen did two years ago. Sociedad did finish 4th in La Liga last season as well. Plus this is Moyes first test in Europe with expectations. I really hope they don't advance.
  11. Alec Baldwin's scene in Glengarry Glen Ross. "Put that coffee down! Coffee is for closers only."
  12. I love this twitter account for its simplicity: @didthephilswin
  13. So far this season it's really been all Hands on deck.
  14. It's not like soccer is hard to schedule programming for. And ESPN screws it up every time. Solid performance from the boys tonight. To be fair, Panama was without their best striker and looked pretty toothless in attack. Took care of business though. Unlike Mexico
  15. Game on Tuesday against Panama will be a real indicator where this team is under Klinsmann. Win against Germany followed by a win in Jamaica, if the US picks up 3 points against Panama then maybe this team has gotten over a hump to find some consistency.
  16. Ruben Quevedo is a bratwurst's natural enemy.
  17. Coppa Italia Final is on Sunday and it is an all Roman affair. Roma vs. Lazio is always an intense match but as a cup final it should be crazy. Forza Roma!
  18. The two names being linked are Stan Van Gundy and Kelvin Sampson. Both are good options which probably means the Bucks won't hire either. Herb won't let us have nice things.
  19. The officiating in the Barca/Bayern game was abysmal. Bayern were by far the better team and deserved to win but that scoreline is a shame. That was probably the worst game I've ever seen Real Madrid play. The Special One must really want out.
  20. Hey, I thought it was obvious too yet here is this thread.
  21. I just drove back and forth to Denver from Northeast Wisconsin with no accidents. On the road or otherwise. Intake your liquids according to your surroundings. I'd rather wait than use a port-a-potty. I don't think kidneys can explode like Grandpa Simpson's, but then again, I'm no doctor.
  22. Maybe I'm missing something, but can't people just hold it until they get inside like an adult? "Maybe I should just go anytime I get the urge like you...wherever I am. There's too much urinary freedom in this society. I'm proud to hold it in. It builds character. "
  23. Keep the Omar and Besler centerback pairing and add in Fabian Johnson at leftback and Timmy Chandler at right back and I think that's a solid back four. Chicharito has to be the most overrated player in the world. He can't score outside the six, habitually offside, and is constantly arguing with the ref. If he played anywhere but Manchester United he would be a nobody. Give me Gio Dos Santos any day.
  24. They picked Denver to get used to the elevation for the Mexico game. The snow just sort of happened. If they had started the game an hour earlier it wouldn't have been as much a problem because the snow didn't start accumulating until half hour before the match started.
