  1. Like those sawbucks are hard to move...... This is the only way I have taken in the last three years. Quick and easy.
  2. Just remembered of a similar incident last year: Cardinals' Tony La Russa, Chris Carpenter Steamed at D Backs And also found one from spring training this year: Tensions flare between Cards, Nationals
  3. She was 17. That's the kind of mistake you can ill afford to make buddy.
  4. In real time, I thought that pitch to Pujols actually hit the bat because of the sound it made. On the radio broadcast the next day, I thought Uecker made some reference to players thinking Pujols was faking being hit.
  5. If Molina had appealed that suspension, MLB should have given him an extra game for wasting their time.
  6. Really think Mitch Williams has something against the Brewers.
  7. I had no idea about that and thought I was the only person who thought those lenses had tint to them, but that would make sense then.
  8. I was wondering why LaRussa wears those sunglasses during night games. That LED board must really hurt his eyes from his hangover. The Cardinals have someone assigned to keep him from taking the Miller Brewery tour on this trip, right? Just once when the Cardinals start this bean ball junk, I would love for the hitter to turn towards the dug out and and starting calling out LaRussa for his inane code of ethics.
  9. Could not agree more. Why am I looking at pictures of people I don't know? Is this an attempt to show that, yes, people really are in the stadium? The most important part of a sporting broadcast is the action on the field. The constant switching to people in the crowd breaks the viewer's train of concentration on the game. Obviously with baseball there is a lot of down time between pitches, but why can't the camera always stay focused on a player on the field? Or the dugout? Flash a graphic with some stats or something because tunes in to see fans in the crowd. If I wanted to see the people there, I would go to the game myself.
  10. I hear JJ Hardy is available. Can we trade Carlos Gomez to the Orioles for Hardy?
  11. Very nice buy low by Melvin. Can never have too many quality arms in the bullpen.
  12. Every time I've gone to the Rave, I have never used the parking lot. I just park on the street. And I typically go the drink ticket route because it is so much cheaper than paying Ticketmaster prices and that inane surcharge. There are places you can stand on the floor and avoid all the pushing and shoving. Off to either side or in the back by the sound tech. The building itself really is a dump, but knowing the history and stuff of it sort of offsets that in my mind. I've also know a lot of bands think it is haunted and that's why they like playing there because they like looking around.
  13. I used to enjoy Bill Michaels when I listened to his show. Of course I was also 13 at the time.....
  14. It's not Bradley's fault the talent pool only has 4 quality defenders. Cherundolo doesn't get hurt and we are talking about a different outcome. While Bradley's starting XI aren't always the best, he does make really good in game adjustments to correct these problems. If Bradley gets sacked, who is a better replacement? The search after the World Cup didn't yield too many candidates, although that may have only been a half hearted search to begin with.
  15. When I heard Pujols was hurt yesterday I knew it couldn't be a leg injury because you actually have to run hard to get those. Stay classy St. Louis.
  16. Braun is a real Frodo Baggins out there; always an adventure.
  17. Is it Deloris? I never really understood that episode of Seinfeld because I don't think it really sounds that much like the female body part they were referencing. If the name isn't Deloris, I don't know what name you are referring to.Hest?
  18. When I was reffing a youth soccer game and checking player passes, I came across a kid named "Utah."
  19. I guess I will be the first to say it: Dislike.
  20. That rally towel idea is cheesy. As if the stadium won't already be full of energy. The Brewers really seem to be marketing Greinke heavily, more so than any other acquisition that I can remember.
  21. I was at Minute Maid Park once for batting practice and any ball hit into the air to left was gone. I also took a picture of what I thought was Richie's spot on the flag pole in center but there is more than one on the pole so I picked the highest one.
  22. I would love to see Leake get tagged with a bunch of runs tonight.
  23. Two Brewer games today: Hooray! Craig Coshun in for Brian Anderson: Boo!
  24. This has bothered me since I've been going to sporting events, the attempt to appease the casual fan and keep them interested. But because there is advertisement revenue to be made on the "in-game breaks" teams will continue to do it. Just once, I wish they would have a day where the only sound coming through the PA is to announce baseball related activity. And all the graphics would be dedicated to statistics in an effort to teach fans more about the game. Call it "Sabermetric Day" or "People Who Actually Like Baseball Day"
