    The issue discussed in the article was contracting teams, not moving them though. It's sad that when sports leagues discuss contraction, Milwaukee teams are thought of first.

    I won the TGI Friday's call of the game one time. From my previous trips to Brewer games, I saved the Friday's number in my phone. I had a rough idea about when they would do the contest, so as soon as they flashed it on the scoreboard, I had the number called already. I wasn't even able to use the gift certificate because of all the stipulations. If I remember correctly, that was the last game of the 2005 season, and they stopped doing that contest after that, so I was the last winner of the TGI Friday's call of the game.

    So LaRussa predicted Rolen would be offended by Phillips words and Rolen is almost in the middle of the whole thing taking Carpenter to the ground. Love it.

    In real time, I thought Dempsey was offside and after the replay I still think he is off because his left leg is beyond the defender. And to be in an offside position is to have any legal playing surface past the second to last defender. It was such a bang bang play though, I would have had a hard time putting blame on the assistant referee for costing the US the game. Thankfully the game winner came through. I literally had tears in my eyes and I couldn't even watch the replay so I needed to ask someone who actually scored. Such an emotional roller coaster.

    Edmonds seems like a candidate for an August waiver trade to a contender. I can't really see a trade for him prior to the deadline given his health risk.

    Does the US have a single midfielder that checks back to the ball when the defenders have it? I am so sick of seeing the defenders play a hopeful long ball to no one in particular because they have no one within 30 yards to pass to.

    I swear the Cubs let a pop up/fly ball drop between players at least once a season at Miller Park. In a way to make myself feel better about this season, maybe the increase in extra inning games is a sign the Brewers are starting to be a little more competitive?

    I'd be interested in seeing how far the ratings for the game on MLB Network plummeted once Strasburg left the game. I know I turned to the Brewer game.

    I'd love to hear a North Korea broadcast about how the other team and the referees are cheating and all out to sabotage the country.

    It is encouraging to see the two hottest players in the USMNT pool, Buddle and Gomez, continue to score goals outside their respective leagues. Thankfully they both made the roster, especially now with the knock Jozy got this week. Forward position may not be as bleak as originally thought for the U.S.

    Agreed, doing so would be potentially hazardous. What would be the strength of an umpire's decision if later the league could just change it?

    If that is the case, then why even bother bringing Ching in to camp because pace and speed have never been his game. Hopefully Findley can prove everyone wrong and actually contribute positively.
