so much for Rickie building on his hot finish last season.

anyone else's gameday freeze up at ball 1 to Hall? i'm assuming the inning is over?

why doesn't Yost or Simba or whoever tell our guys to lay off a pitch or 2 each at bat??? this is seriously ridiculous. starting pitchers seem to be routinely getting into the 5th inning against us without throwing very many pitches. edit: Harang threw 5 pitches that inning. FIVE!!!!!!!

i'm more concerned about our inability to hit crummy pitching than i am about dave bush

If Jenkins gets booed, I will be incredibly irritated and disappointed, but you know there will be some drunk idiots who will. CoCo on the other hand I would boo like crazy if he was there. I may even make a trip down to heckle him in the pen just in case he doesn't make an appearance (which I hope he doesn't).

I also think people, myself included, might not be making such a biggish deal about this had he not said he was going vegetarian. the wheels in the mind start connecting dots that probably aren't connected at all and one can very easily jump to (more than likely) false conclusions.

yeah, I have no doubt the homers will come, but man does he look frustrated up there. he hasn't gotten in any kind of groove it seems like despite his high BA.

I'm not saying, I'm just saying. (not sure if this is appropriate here or should go to off topic).

my game cast said that Pitt sacraficed with 1 out, men on 1st and 3rd, that can't be right can it? why would they do that? stupid Pirates, lead off double and nothing. oy.

I wonder if it has something to do with the early start. I bet we'd draw a bigger crowd if it was the standard 6pm saturday start. oh well, i'll still be there!

making a late night drive up from chitown for a weekend of baseball (and hopefully 3 brewer wins)! love the pitching match ups this series, let's take em all!

I would like to see us get a road sweep this year. Would be nice to do it in Wrigley too. At this point, i'd just like to see Prince do something positive with the bat.
  17. MillerParkSouth
    unbelievable.
  18. MillerParkSouth
well we managed to get nothing out of a bases loaded no out situation yesterday, let's see if the Cubs can return the favor.

interesting tidbit from ESPN's Keith Law Bryan-MA: T/F.....Parra keeps his rotation spot for the rest of the year? Keith Law: (1:22 PM ET ) True. I don't see how this is possible if we want to limit his innings.

so do we see Gagne in the 9th or is Ned sticking to the 3 runs or less rule for closers again this year?
  21. MillerParkSouth
hopefully we can tack on the runs that we should have gotten in the 7th in the next two innings. looks like we may need them.
  22. MillerParkSouth
    the more things change...
  23. MillerParkSouth
Billy has at least got to get some kind of productive out that at bat.
  24. MillerParkSouth
    ugh Rickie.
  25. MillerParkSouth
please tell me we're not going to waste a lead off double by Kendall.
