I havent felt this good about the brewers since 2001.... I got to go to 2 of a 3 game series at pac bell in 2001 right before the allstar break...the crew came in 1 under .500 and went out 2 under...i was still excited..the brewers looked decent..and neugie was gonna be awesome and ...and...and.. and dont get excited yet fellas: 2001: Record on July 1: 39-39 record for games played after July 1: 29-55 in reality, i shoulda been sick and upset about what happened that year...and i guess i was in some ways...but i wasnt suprised...no..the crew had been playing way above their heads the entire season now, im not posting this because i think the brewers are going to tank royally this season...but they are playing over their heads..and as much as i want to see them win 90 games this year...i will be glad if they win 75.. i guess i just have to control my emotions for this team..i cant let my expectations get out of hand...because as soon as i start expecting great things from the brewers...they suck it up... i guess thats just the curse of any brewers fan under 30

well, if thew moneyball philosophy is all about doiung what everybody else isnt, then this is a great draft... seriously, if the vast majority of teams take mostly college players, then it seems that the brewers get the cream of the high school crop....which they seem to have done... i dunno if this will work, but in an era when everyone wants to draft college players, i think this philosophy might work...besides, i see no problem with sharing the drafting philosophy of the braves and twins...
