  1. It's not as easy to get up in the morning knowing the Cubs are breathing down our necks and our team isn't showing any sign of turning this recent string of play around anytime soon.
  2. 2. I liked Hardy batting there instead of Braun. I posted as such. Save Braun for the 9th. Sarcasm?
  3. Hopefully he'll be alright and hopefully everything is still in place in there. What a bummer of a game. Ugh. Need to get them tomorrow, that's for sure.
  4. Atleast it's not like Jenkins is prone to strike out, because then it might have been a little silly to send Prince.
  5. Excellent way to end an inning that started the way it did. Wow. That's a sign that this isn't the night.
  6. Well Ned, time to start warming up Cordero... just to be safe.
  7. I wouldn't be surprised if Spurling puts a few zero's up on the board. Then tomorrow I can hear from my coworker how good his ERA is.
  8. Now pitching: Jon "I know what you're snickering at" Coutlangus. I'm sure someone has said it by now but... I myself never much cared for Jon Coutlangus.
  9. I have been looking at Estrada's splits a lot and it seems like he does much better 6th or 7th. Just based off watching and or being at most games I would venture a guess and say it doesn't seem like he does better at 6th or 7th, he plain does better at 6th or 7th. I think Ned continues to hit him 5 just to irritate us.
  10. I think we need to at least entertain the notion that Ned got completely bombed last night I'll entertain that. He probably had Suppan with him.
  11. OK...a Craig Counsell homer is no consolation whatsoever for this game so far. We still only have three hits off Kyle Lohse. Up next, three-hitter Kevin Mench.
  12. Anybody think we could even get a bag of balls for Jeffrey "Hammonds" Suppan right now? I like the nickname, for the time being. It looks like FSN might be giving up on the game, another Craig Coshun interview already.
  13. We can keep blaming the pathetic all we want, but Suppan has still given up 5 runs and it's only the 4th inning. Even our offense at full strength would be struggling to stay in this game. The point is, Suppan stinks and I strongly dislike him. Can't disagree with you, but I can't help but look at the lineup and just shrug and say, huh?
  14. Ugh. It was fun to see a Pete Rose-Craig Coshun interview atleast. Go Cardinals. And I only have one word to describe tonight's Brewer lineup... Silly.
  15. Throw in another wow from me. I liked Inman, but what are you going to do, we do have a lot of younger pitching talent. Linebrink is ok...if anything you can look at Cordero coming from a not so hot (though not that bad) 1st half in Texas and coming here and dominating. For whatever reason, I think this will end up being a decent move, Doug usually does well and I'm hoping this won't be an exception.
  16. These Braun and Fielder guys are pretty good...ya know.
  17. I haven't pulled a ball yet. One up the middle.
  18. Thanks for posting this thread, I was thinking about this last night and was actually going to post a similar question if anyone had the rulebook on it. Thanks guys.
  19. Speaking of the new guy, am I hearing things or does he call Craig Coshun... "Coshauny?"
  20. I thought I blew it for the Crew, got home from my softball game and right when I turn it on, Dunn hits a bomb. Thank you very much Carlos Villanueva. EDIT: and go Cards
  21. I try to hit the ball with the top side of the very end of the bat and it seems to work the best.
  22. Dear Johnny Estrada, Please take a note of your backup catcher who just successfully executed a sacrifice fly, with a man on third base with less than two outs. Best wishes regarding your hamstring, jlau20
