  1. 32 games to go, 16-16 to go .500 for the year. Hmm. Probably need to go 19-13 to win the division, hopefully. This could be tough. If plans are for Ned to be fired if this ends up as a losing campaign, I say fire him now to atleast mix it up. It worked in '82, why not in '07. Somethings gotta change to get things going. This is such a buzz kill. Two great games in AZ. One close loss against one of the best pitchers in the majors, a great start to the road trip, then we go to SF and get swept by the Giants. And that Brewers ship they keep showing in the bay might as well be sunk.
  2. Braun gets back into the three with Prince out today and tomorrow, sweet. I wish both Prince and Braun could hit third.
  3. I hate to add on also, but you can't just take away games from the last few weeks to make his stats worse. It doesn't work that way.
  4. Didn't Surhoff do it atleast once? I don't remember that well...but I'm sure someone has done it since too. Someone else brought up Loretta I think?
  5. By far my favorite baseball game, but I got tired of updating the rosters and caved and bought MLB 2k7 for 360. MVP is still better, but 2k7 is growing on me. I'm still tweaking the settings so it's not a blowout either way, but it's not bad. I'll still play MVP on occasion though, can't beat the soundtrack for a baseball game either, eh?
  6. Braun Listach Jaha Surhoff Plesac
  7. Too bad these aren't the April Brewers, I could chalk this one up and head to bed soon so I'm not dead tired at work tomorrow. However, these are the August Brewers, and just about anything can turn into an interesting game.
  8. It's mildly amusing that Cappy's ERA is better than the team ERA this month. Somewhat points to the fact that he isn't doing much worse than anyone else, he's just not getting the W's to prove it. Something else to point out is that last week the Marlins were 0-13 in Dontrelle's last 13 starts. Granted he hasn't been as good this year as he has been in the past, and granted Cappy isn't really D-Train, it just goes to show that sort of streak can happen to anyone. And I don't really think the Marlins were considering removing Willis from the rotation.
  9. Jenkins, Hardy and Gross are all hitting well right now. If this darn team can stay at least within 2-3 games of first place by the time Sheets comes back, the Crew still has a reasonable shot. Obviously, things are going to have to go much better on this road trip, however. Agreed. It would be nice if our pitching problems weren't coinciding with the games where those three are hitting the ball much much better than they have been as of late. With any luck, or without anymore meltdowns, we can pull off a 4-5 road trip, come back down three games or less and have a first half type homestand, putting us right back in the race. Of course, this is all wishful thinking considering the fact we just had a 1-5 homestand, which can just be added to the list of times we've hit "rock bottom" over the last few weeks.
  10. Luckily, following this 1-5 homestand we get to go on the road for nine. If we were alot worse on the road than at home, I would probably be concerned.
  11. Nice to see some early runs again, let's just hope they can add on like yesterday. I'm reluctantly breathing a sigh of relief that they might be on their way out of this recent funk they've been in.
  12. Buster Olney is a genius. I'm bummed because it seems when we get a 'decent' start out of our pitchers, our offense puts up three hits. When we score 5 or 6 runs, our pitching finds a way to give up more. It's just disappointing. I really hope they turn it around soon.
  13. That was something else last night. Hopefully all these losses at home all of a sudden will turn into road wins instead. Or something...That Dunn homer was sweet atleast I guess. And since JJ hit so well last night, I'm sure he'll be in the two spot tonight. I've stopped saying that a certain game had to be rock bottom and they had to start turning it around, everytime I've done that they prove me wrong and play worse the next game. Please make it stop.
  14. All the pitchers in the league that the Brewers face must be juiced. That has to be the reason we basically can't hit anyone. All the hitters in the league that the Brewers pitchers pace must be juiced. That has to be the reason we basically give up hits to anyone.
  15. I have to go to work, but when's the last time there's been a day where we won and the Cubs lost? It seems like forever. But it was probably Friday or Saturday. I don't know I'm tired and irritated because we're only four games above .500 and it's not getting any prettier.

  17. Cubs lost again? Man, those guys stink right now.http://static.yuku.com/v2//domainskins/bypass/img/smileys/wink.gif
  18. He makes errors but at the same time he has made many nice plays and being only his third month in the Majors, I think he'll be more than fine in the long run, and by that I think by sometime next year he'll be atleast an average defender at third. To me, the fact that the kid has hit .350, has 23 homeruns, and hits the ball to every field in his first three months at the Major League level is more than enough to almost completely overlook the fact he makes an error about once every 4 or so games.
  19. As long as we are all venting, why is Bill Hall getting a free ride? He has suddenly become really boring this season. He hits so many lazy fly balls now. It's getting really dull. He must be off the juice.
  20. It's easy to make predictions like that. If you're right you try and look like you're the only one who thought it, if you're wrong you can say it's ok because the Brewers won. Vent: aside from that Braun 3-run homer against Houston, nothing has been going right for the Brewers for sometime.
  21. Florida already has 13 against Arizona tonight through 4 and Baltimore has 11 against NY through 6. Jeez. And the Muscle has a homer in the Phillies game, and not just any homer, a two-run go ahead homer in the 8th.
  22. The new Star Wars stuff was pure crap. (IMO of course). That's the truth, my dislike for the new three turned me off from the old three. Lord of the Rings it is. Has anyone seen Hot Fuzz yet? I liked Shaun of the Dead so I'm thinking I might just pick up Hot Fuzz without having seen it instead of renting it...
  23. I like that Nancy Grace is getting on people's lists. I don't ever watch her show, but flipping through the channels and leaving it on for about two minutes is enough for me to say she is easily the most annoying person I have ever seen given a TV show. Absolutey the most obnoxious person ever, probably.
  24. Sure, Braun's an MVP candidate. The problem is Prince is also an MVP candidate. The way I see it if the voters are looking at the Brewers for an MVP they vote Prince, he's been up all year and all that. Braun definitely should be a candidate, but barring him playing even better than he has been so far he won't be the MVP. I do think it's a good point though that if we still had Counsellino platooning third, we probably wouldn't still be in first and we probably wouldn't have 62 wins. Considering that, Braun is really valuable, but as of now Prince would probably have to be most valuable because without him we'd be battling it out with the Reds and Pirates for 4th.
  25. All this, and the guy goes out and hits one out of the park tonight. Must be an awesome feeling.
